Top 50 Bowman Chrome Rookie Auto Cards in 2020

Bowman Chrome Autograph cards are considered the most popular and sought after types of baseball cards in the sports card industry. These cards are considered prospect autograph cards of players, meaning they are created while the player is still a prospect or in the minor leagues. First year Bowman Chrome Autos are what a lot of buyers or collectors target because these types of cards have the biggest potential to increase in value the most. There is many Bowman Chrome autograph cards of players that feature a number of different color variations and print runs. I am going to focus primarily on base Bowman Chrome Autos that you should be buying heading into the start of the 2020 season. Each year many players Bowman Chrome Autos explode in value this list will help you guide on what to expect this season.

1 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Aaron Judge Rookie Auto

Judge is easily regarded as one of the most popular players in all of baseball. He is now entering his age 28 season and this will be his fourth big league season. Considering the mega star that Judge is and playing in a huge market with the Yankees there is still a ton of upside on his 2013 Bowman Chrome Auto on both ungraded examples and high-grade examples. One thing to learn from is trends from past seasons and Judge’s Bowman Chrome Auto last year began to explode in value starting in Spring Training reaching arguably its highest value ever. I am expecting the same to happen this year and projecting Judge’s Bowman Chrome Auto graded in a PSA 10 to receive a 62-87 percent increase. There is just 39 PSA 10 graded examples as of February 2020. Investing in a BGS 9.5/10 is also a great option as well because I would expect a 29-44 percent increase depending on the sub-grades. Perhaps ungraded versions may also be the best bang for your buck because those could easily see a 75-100 percent increase as well. Invest in Judgie with confidence! All Rise!

2 – 2010 Bowman Chrome Christian Yelich Rookie Auto

Yelich is coming off one of his best seasons of his career in 2019 and could have very easily won back-to-back NL MVP awards had he not been injured late in the year. Yelich’s 2010 Bowman Chrome Auto is very tough to obtain in high-grade examples. 2010 Bowman Chrome Autos are known for being off-centered and have many surface scratches. I am expecting a 42 percent increase on Yelich’s Bowman Chrome Auto graded a BGS 9.5/10. This is a card that still has plenty of room to grow considering how low the BGS Pop Report is. Investing in a ungraded one could pay off as well, as long as you get one that looks mint as I would expect those to see a 53 percent increase. PSA 10’s are Yelich are very hard to find, as there is only 32 graded examples as of February 2020 according to the PSA Population Report. Yelich is easily one of the NL MVP favorites again this season in 2020.

3 - 2014 Bowman Chrome Mookie Betts Rookie Auto

Mookie was just traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers and this trade immediately sparked his Bowman Chrome Auto to increase in value with a 25 percent increase on a BGS 9.5/10 example. Betts is entering his free agent season and poised for a monster season. I would expect his Bowman Chrome Auto to continually trend up in value a lot more throughout this season. Last season around this time, his Bowman Chrome Auto was still a lot higher than it is right now because he was coming off a MVP and World Series Championship with the Red Sox in 2018. PSA 10 examples recently have jumped 29 percent and it would not shock me if there were another 29 percent increase on his PSA 10 examples by seasons end. Will Betts have a 30/30 season? Many baseball experts are projecting him to receive a 12-year 400 million contract following his 2020 season. Betts ranks second in WAR overall the last four seasons only behind Mike Trout.

4- 2011 Bowman Chrome Francisco Lindor Rookie Auto

Lindor is still one of the more underrated superstar players in the MLB. He is entering his age 26 season in 2020 and already put up some great seasons. Since the beginning of the off-season, he has been rumored in many trade offers. Lindor only has two more years of team control with the Cleveland Indians before he can become a free agent. I would expect Lindor to be on the move near the trade deadline this July. Invest with confidence on Lindor’s Bowman Chrome Auto because he is easily one of the best shortstops in baseball and his Chrome Auto will only continually trend up in value more throughout this season especially if he gets traded to a World Series contender. His Chrome Auto is very tough to find in a PSA 10 example as there is just 57 examples on the PSA Population Report as of February 2020. Look for Lindor’s PSA 10 Bowman Chrome Auto to see a 30 percent increase in value this season with other raw examples and BGS 9.5 examples not too far behind!

5 – 2011 Bowman Chrome Javier Baez Rookie Auto

Baez is entering his age 27 season and many players throughout the course of their careers have monster seasons at that age in baseball. Since 2018, Baez has been a completely different player and has been regarded as one of the most exciting and dynamic players in the MLB. I would project a 40 percent increase on Baez’s BGS 9.5/10 Bowman Chrome Auto because I think there is still plenty of room for his Chrome Auto to increase in value throughout this season. I could also see ungraded examples receiving a 60 percent increase because those are even more underrated right now compared to high-graded examples. There is only 33 PSA 10 examples as of February 2020 of Baez’s Bowman Chrome Auto, which makes this a difficult card to find. I would expect PSA 10 examples to reach a 60+ percent increase throughout this season.

6 - 2012 Bowman Chrome Joey Gallo Rookie Auto

Joey Gallo was having a monster 2019 season last year until a wrist injury cut his season short. Many baseball experts said he looked like a completely different player hitting the ball to all fields and making the adjustments using his hands more with his swing. Gallo has the potential to hit 45+ homeruns this season to go along with a 260 plus average and is only entering his age 26 season. His Bowman Chrome Auto graded in a PSA 10 may be difficult to find before the season starts because there is only 28 examples as of February 2020 according to the PSA Population Report. I would expect as high of a 42 percent increase on Gallo’s PSA 10 Bowman Chrome Auto this season. Investing in a BGS 9.5/10 example could also pay off as well; I am projecting those to reach a 40 percent increase as well. Gallo’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded has already begun to see a 40 percent increase within the past couple of months this off-season. He is one of my favorite investments this season in 2020. Pico de Gallo!

7 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Austin Meadows Rookie Auto

Meadows is coming off his breakout season in 2019 where he hit 33 home runs, 89 RBIs while batting .291 and a 922 OPS. He is entering his age 25 season and his Bowman Chrome Auto is very undervalued still especially for a player coming off a big year. I would expect a 50-75 percent increase on Meadows Bowman Chrome Auto in a high-grade example like a BGS 9.5/10. He’s beginning to trend up like a lot players as the season gets closer to starting so the sooner you can invest in him the better! There is just 27 PSA 10 graded examples as of February 2020 and they are a lot higher in comparison to his BGS 9.5/10. The BGS 9.5/10 is the much better value buy right now in my opinion. The Rays should also easily contend for a playoff spot again this year which will only help Meadows value more.

8 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Ozzie Albies Rookie Auto

Albies is one of the premier second baseman in baseball and still only 23 years old. His Bowman Chrome Auto still has a lot of upside to trend up in value in 2020. If investing in ungraded examples make sure to buy an autograph that is a clean example with no streaks or breaks because a lot of Albies Bowman Chrome Autos were streaky and as a result the value is affected on those examples. Albies Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded should see a 85-100 percent increase in value this season. High-graded examples of Albies also have a lot upside and those should also see a similar result. Albies could very well become the best second baseman in baseball during the 2020 season.

9 – 2012 Bowman Chrome David Dahl Rookie Auto

Dahl was having his best season of his career last year in 2019 until an injury cut his season short. He is now entering his age 26 season and is one of the more underrated buys this off-season. There is just 27 PSA 10 graded examples according to the PSA Population Report as of February 2020. I would expect a 150 percentage increase on Dahl’s day as this is a card that is a great buy low right now. Investing in an ungraded example is also a low risk with a ton of upside as they should also see a 100 percent increase in value this season.

10 – 2011 Bowman Chrome Bryce Harper Rookie Auto

Harper signed a massive contract with the Philadelphia Phillies last year and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto was one of the most sought after cards to begin the baseball season last year. One year later Harper’s Bowman Chrome Auto has been nearly cut in half from a year ago. Since Harper’s value has dropped so much from a year ago right now is a great time to invest in him before the season starts. Many baseball experts are projecting Harper to have a big year and the Phillies should also be much improved. I would expect Harpers Bowman Chrome Auto graded a BGS 9.5/10 example to receive a 42 percent increase in value. Harper’s PSA 10 Chrome Auto is a lot more sought after compared to his BGS 9.5/10 as I have seen them be anywhere from $250-350 higher in overall value. I would expect a 25 percent increase on Harpers Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded too with possible more upside. Look for one with a bold signature if buying ungraded.

11 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Matt Olson Rookie Auto

Olson had his best season of his career last year in 2019 and is now entering his age 26 season. He is considered one of the premier power hitting first baseman in all of baseball and his Bowman Chrome Auto is still very undervalued and obtainable for many buyers or collectors. Olson’s Bowman Chrome Auto is a great "buy low" and is even a candidate for a "buy in bulk" strategy since his ungraded examples could easily see upwards to a 75-100 percent increase in value. I would also expect a similar result in a BGS 9.5/10 example. PSA 10 examples will be difficult to find, as there is just 56 total graded examples as of February 2020, but I would expect those to also see a 75 percent increase as well.

12 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Ketel Marte Rookie Auto

Marte had his best season of his career last year in 2019, this was due to change in launch angle on his swing. He batted 329 with 32 homeruns and 92 RBIs with the D-Backs. Marte is now entering his age 26 seasons and will be primarily play second base with the D-Backs. His Bowman Chrome Auto is still very obtainable especially for a player coming off a monster year last season. Marte’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded should see a 57 percent increase in value from now and throughout the season. There is just 31 PSA 10 graded examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020 and these should see a 52 percent increase in value as well. Can Marte put up similar numbers this year in 2020?

13 – 2005 Bowman Chrome Justin Verlander Rookie Auto

Verlander continues to dominant late into his career and won the A.L. Cy Young award in 2019. His Bowman Chrome Auto is still very obtainable and will only continue trend up in value in both the short-term and long-term. I would expect a 60-75 percent increase in ungraded or 9/10 examples. High-grade examples like BGS 9.5/10 or PSA 10s are tough to find and rarely become available for sale. Verlander is already a lock to be a future Hall of Famer and as he achieves more records and accolades in the coming years this card will only become more sought after. If there were one pitcher in a Bowman Chrome Auto that I would buy, Verlander’s would be the first!

14 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Tim Anderson Rookie Auto

Anderson won the A.L. batting title last year in 2019, his average was 335. He is now entering his age 27 season and could have another big year. The White Sox are one of the most improved teams in 2020 and considering Anderson won the batting title last year you would think his Bowman Chrome Auto would be a lot higher than it is right now. Anderson is one of the best buy low candidates this season and so cheap ungraded that it is a great buy in bulk card too. I am projecting his Bowman Chrome auto ungraded to see a 100 percent increase in value this season. High-grade examples should also see a 40 percent increase as well. Do the White Sox make the playoffs this season?

15 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Jack Flaherty Rookie Auto

Flaherty was the best pitcher in baseball the second half of last season in 2019. He posted career highs in ERA, strikeouts and quality starts. Flaherty is entering his age 24 season and will look to build on the great second half he had in 2019. He is already considered one of the best pitchers in all of baseball and his Bowman Chrome Auto is still very obtainable for both collectors and buyers. I would expect a 70 percent increase in value on ungraded examples. High-grade examples are a lot more difficult to find and buy. His Bowman Chrome Auto featured in a PSA 10 has Population Report of just 42 examples as of February 2020. Flaherty is one of the favorites to win the N.L. Cy Young award in 2020.

16 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Lucas Giolito Rookie Auto

Giolito had his first breakout season in 2019 with the White Sox and is now regarded as their ace. He is entering his age 25 season and his Bowman Chrome Auto still has a ton of upside to continue to go up in value. I would expect an 80 percent increase in ungraded examples this season. Giolito’s BGS 9.5/10 examples should also see about a 62 percent increase in value as well. PSA 10 examples will become a little tougher to find, as there is just 51 examples according to the PSA Population Report as of February 2020.

17 – 2011 Bowman Chrome Blake Snell Rookie Auto

Snell struggled with injuries in 2019 but in 2018, he was the A.L. Cy Young award winner. He still had an outstanding strikeout per 9 innings ratio in 2019 so that tells me he still has elite stuff. Snell is a great buy low candidate right now in ungraded examples and high-grade examples, a lot of buyers and collectors have sort of forgotten about him and now is the time to invest! Snell is only entering his age 27 season in 2020 and I would expect him to bounce back in a big way. His Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded should see as high of a percentage increase of 62 percent. Snell’s Bowman Chrome Auto last year around this time was very sought after. High-grade examples will be difficult to find from now until the start of the season but those are also good short-term and long-term investments as well.

18 – 2010 Bowman Chrome Gary Sanchez Rookie Auto

Sanchez is the best hitting catcher in baseball, the last two seasons he has struggled to stay healthy but last year he was still able to put up a 30+ home run season. He started red hot last year and his Bowman Chrome Auto reached its highest value since his debut during his rookie season in 2016. Investing in a Sanchez Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded can be tough because 2010 stuff is condition sensitive. Many 2010 Chrome Autos are off-centered or have surface problems so investing in PSA 9 or BGS 9s is a better option than ungraded copies. Sanchez’s Bowman Chrome Auto in a high-grade example like a BGS 9.5/10 or PSA 10 is highly sought after. I am projecting PSA 9s or BGS 9s or ungraded versions will see a 50 percent increase like last year. There is still a lot of upside with Sanchez as he enters his age 27 season with the Yankees.

19 – 2019 Bowman Chrome Dustin May Rookie Auto

May made his 2019 debut with the Dodgers last year but still qualifies for a rookie in 2020. He is a great buy and hold right now since most likely he will begin the year in Triple A, but look for May to make a big impact in the Dodgers rotation at some point this year. Considering he is one of the best young pitching prospects in baseball, his Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded is still very obtainable. I would expect an 80 percent increase on ungraded examples. PSA 10 examples should also see a 42 percent increase. There is 86 graded 10 examples according to the PSA Population Report as of February 2020.

20 – 2011 Bowman Chrome George Springer Rookie Auto

Springer had his best season last year in 2019. Many Astros hitters have dropped in value as a result of the sign-stealing controversy. I think ultimately it will blow over and Springer is expected to have a big year in 2020 especially because he is entering his free agent season. His Bowman Chrome Auto is very affordable right now and should see a 60 percent increase in value this season. I would expect Springer to new sign with a new team during the off-season in 2021 so investing in his card will pay off in the short-term and long-term. High-grade examples like PSA 10 or BGS 9.5/10s are a little tougher to obtain on this card but investing in ungraded examples is a great option.

21 – 2011 Bowman Chrome J.D. Martinez Rookie Auto

Martinez is starting to build a Hall of Fame career and is now entering his age 32 season in 2020. Considering that Martinez is one of the elite hitters in baseball his Bowman Chrome Auto is still very obtainable compared to other star players. I would expect an 87 percent increase on Martinez’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded. Look for one that has a clean signature (meaning no breaks or streaks in the auto). PSA 10 examples are also very undervalued as there is only 60 in existence according to the POP Report as of February 2020. I would expect a 50 percent increase on them as well with a lot more upside, as well as BGS 9.5/10 examples being around the same expected increase in value. Martinez can opt out again after the 2020 season and he is primed for another big 2020 season.

22 - 2018 Bowman Chrome Sheldon Neuse Rookie Auto

Neuse received a brief call up with the Oakland A’s last season in 2019 and played mostly at second base. The A’s are always finding players that become impactful big league players and Neuse I believe is next. Last season in the minors, Neuse hit 27 homeruns before being called up. Now is the time to invest in Neuse while no one is thinking of buying him, as he is only 25 years old should make a big impact with his bat with the A’s in 2020. Look for Neuse to become the A’s primary second baseman at some point this season. His Bowman Chrome Auto has the potential to receive a 300 percent increase this season because right now his is wicked cheap at the start of the season. This is a low risk high reward type of investment buying Neuse’s Bowman Chrome Auto. Neuse will have to win the starting job in Spring Training for this investment to pay off.

23 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Jose Berrios Rookie Auto

Berrios is the ace of the Twins rotation, he is entering his age 26 season in 2020. He has elite stuff and one of the more underrated Bowman Chrome Autos available heading into the start of the season. His Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded is very obtainable compared to other ace pitchers. I would expect ungraded examples to see a 100 percent increase in value this season. High-graded examples are tougher to find and should also see an increase in value this season. Berrios is still only 26 years old and still has a lot of upside.

24 – 2016 Bowman Chrome Garrett Hampson Rookie Auto

Hampson was a rookie last year with the Rockies who played multiple different positions in the field. He has shown flashes of being a potential five-tool player and this could be the year he breaks out. Hampson is a great buy low right now before the season and cheap enough ungraded that this is a great option for a buy in bulk. Ungraded examples should see a 85-100 percent increase in value. Be patient with Hampson and wait until he receives a lot of playing time in 2020. High-grade examples are only a little bit more then ungraded versions and those have even a lot more upside considering how cheap they are before the season.

25 – 2016 Bowman Chrome Nolan Jones Rookie Auto

If there is one prospect who I am investing in this pre-season it is Nolan Jones. He is ranked in the 40 range on multiple Top Prospect 2020 lists this pre-season. Jones is projected to receive the call to the majors in 2020 and has a ton of upside. He is the top of prospect that can easily hit 30 homers a season and will have a good on-base percentage as well. Invest in Jones now before he breaks out in the minors this season and receives a call up to the Indians. I would expect Jones’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded to see a possible 77 percent increase in value this year. PSA 10 examples should also see a 66 percent increase in value as there is only 178 graded 10 examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020.

26 – 2018 Bowman Chrome Carter Kieboom Rookie Auto

Kieboom debuted last year with the Nationals, he is now projected to take over for Anthony Rendon at third base this season. He will be fighting for the starting third base job this spring. Kieboom is only 22 years old and has a ton of potential. He is rated as the 21^st best prospect overall still heading into the 2020 season. I would expect his card ungraded to receive a 70 percent increase this year with a lot of upside. High-grade examples should also see a 50-75 percent increase in value. Kieboom is a sneaky pick to win the 2020 NL Rookie of the Year award this season.

27 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Aristides Aquino Rookie Auto

Aquino set the MLB record for 12 homeruns in his first career eight games last year in 2019 with the Reds. His Bowman Chrome Auto in August last year exploded in value and heading into the start of the season in 2020 his card is a lot more obtainable. Aquino has plenty of upside to go up in value and is one of the better younger players in the MLB. Look for his Bowman Chrome Auto to reach a 35 percent increase in value on both ungraded and high-graded examples. There is only 33 PSA 10 graded examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020.

28 - 2017 Bowman Chrome Luis Castillo Mega Mojr Refractor Rookie Auto

This card is regarded as Castillo’s first Bowman Chrome Auto, which is a limited short printed autograph. Castillo’s Bowman Chrome Auto is starting to become a lot tougher to find. Since these are so limited and Castillo is an early NL Cy Young favorite this year I would expect a 50 percent increase in value on ungraded examples. High-grade examples will be a lot tougher to obtain but those also do have a lot of upside as well. Many baseball experts say that Castillo has the best fastball/changeup combination in baseball.

29 – 2016 Bowman Chrome Willie Calhoun Rookie Auto

Calhoun debuted with the Texas Rangers as a rookie last year and showed a lot of potential. Many baseball experts are projecting Calhoun for a 30+ homerun season in 2020. His Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded is very affordable heading into the 2020 especially ungraded examples. Calhoun is another buy in bulk candidate since he is so cheap and has a lot of upside. Ungraded examples should easily see 80-100 percent increase in value. High-grade examples are beginning to trend up a lot quicker at the start of spring training but those could see a similar increase in value as well.

30 – 2012 Bowman Chrome Joc Pederson Rookie Auto

Pederson is projected to be the starting left fielder with the Dodgers in 2020. He hit a career high 36 homeruns last season, heading into the start of the 2020 season his Bowman Chrome Auto is at an all-time low in value. Investing in Pederson’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded is very obtainable right now and is considered a great buy low with a lot of upside. The Dodgers are expected to make to the World Series and Pederson should easily have another big season this year. I would expect a 100 percent increase in value on his Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded. High-grade examples are a lot more sought after so investing in ungraded examples is your best bet.

31 – 2011 Bowman Chrome Brandon Nimmo Rookie Auto

Nimmo is projected to bat leadoff and be the starting center fielder for the New York Mets this season in 2020. He is a great buy low right now and in fact so cheap that he is very affordable in both ungraded and high-grade examples. Nimmo should have no problem being to replicate his 2018 numbers with the Mets and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto should see a 50-75 percent increase in value on both ungraded and graded examples. There is only 17 PSA 10 graded examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020.

32 – 2017 Bowman Chrome Sixto Sanchez Rookie Auto

Sanchez is now on the Miami Marlins and still rated as the 22 prospect overall heading into the start of the 2020 season. His Bowman Chrome Auto is very obtainable compared to other top pitching prospects like Michael Kopech, Nate Pearson, Casey Mize, Mackenzie Gore and others. Sanchez could get to the majors this year and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto should see an immediate increase in value. Many other top pitching prospects are already trending up in value heading into spring training and Sanchez’s Chrome Auto will follow. I would expect a 80-100 percent increase in value on both ungraded examples and high-grade examples. He is a great buy low especially in ungraded examples.

33 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Trent Grisham Rookie Auto

Grisham’s Chrome Auto is actually labeled as Trent Clark, which some people may not be aware of still. He played well last year with the Brewers while filling in for the injured Christian Yelich late in the year. This off-season he was traded to the San Diego Padres and is their projected starting center fielder. Grisham has all the tools to have a good season in 2020. He is flying way under the radar for a player who is only 23 years old with a lot of upside. Grisham’s Bowman Chrome Auto could easily see an 80-100 percent increase in value on both ungraded and high-graded examples.

34 – 2016 Bowman Chrome Willson Contreras Rookie Auto

Contreras is considered one of the elite catchers in the MLB and is now entering his age 28 season. Considering that Contreras is a top catcher in baseball, his Bowman Chrome Auto is very undervalued. Ungraded examples are very obtainable heading into the start of the 2020 season. His Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded should see an 80 percent increase in value along with high-grade examples seeing a similar result. This is one of the safer buys out there amongst many of the Bowman Chrome Autos in a similar price range.

35 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Aaron Nola Rookie Auto

Nola is entering his age 27 season and is the Phillies ace in 2020. He had a solid year in 2019 but his 2018 was his best year thus far in his career. Many baseball experts are projecting him to fully bounce back this year in 2020 and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto should see an increase in value. Ungraded examples should see a 75 percent increase in value. High-grade examples will be tougher to obtain heading into the start of the 2020 season.

36 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Gio Urshela Rookie Auto

Urshela was one of the biggest surprises during the 2019 baseball season. He became the starting third baseman for the Yankees and was one of the best stories of the year. Urshela’s Bowman Chrome Auto has been all over the board throughout this off-season, which will allow a lot of buyers or collectors to get a good buy on his card heading into the start of the season. Urshela still has a lot of upside this season as his Bowman Chrome Auto on ungraded examples could still easily see a 60-80 percent increase this season.

37 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Josh Hader Rookie Auto

If there is one relief pitcher that I am investing in its Josh Hader. Most baseball experts would agree that Hader is considered one of the top closers in baseball. Hader is now entering his age 26 season, and he has the upside to put up another historic season. Hader’s Bowman Chrome Auto heading into the 2020 season sometimes sells for a similar value ungraded versus high-graded examples. This means that there is still an uncertainty as to what to pay for Hader. Investing in Hader’s PSA 10 is a great short-term and long-term investment. There is just 39 PSA 10 graded examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020. Hader’s Bowman Chrome Auto should see a 100 percent increase in value on both ungraded and graded examples.

38 – 2010 Bowman Chrome Max Kepler Rookie Auto

Kepler had his best season of his career in 2019 thus far posting a career high 36 homeruns and 90 RBI’s. Kepler’s 2010 Bowman Chrome Auto is tough to find in good condition ungraded as many of them are condition sensitive, a few examples would be centering or surface scratches. High-grade examples are very tough to find of Kepler so ungraded examples are your best bet. His card should replicate where it was last year and reach a 100+ increase in value again this season. Now is the time to invest in Kepler before he gets red hot again in season.

39 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Luis Severino Rookie

Severino was injured the majority of the 2019 season but had his breakout year in 2018. He is now the number 2 on the Yankees and entering his age 26 season in 2020. Severino’s Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded still has plenty of upside to go up in value and should regain the value of where they were in 2018. His Bowman Chrome Auto ungraded should see a 50-75 percent increase in value in 2020. High-graded examples have already begun to trend way up in value heading into the start of the spring training. Severino does have a minor injury in spring training which could allow you to get a good buy on his card within the next couple of weeks. He could miss the start of the year but should be back long enough to make an impact. Investing in an ungraded example is a much better option versus high-grade example.

40 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Jeff McNeil Auto

McNeil had a breakout year with the Mets last year in 2019 and in 2020 is projected to be the everyday third baseman. McNeil was in contention for the NL batting title for the majority of last year and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto was highly sought after. His Bowman Chrome Auto should reach a similar value this year and see an increase of 70 percent. McNeil’s Bowman Chrome Auto in high-grade examples is already beginning to trend up in value so investing in ungraded examples is your best bet.

41 – 2014 Bowman Chrome Julio Urias Rookie Auto

Urias has been regarded as a top pitching prospect with the Dodgers for a number seasons. He began to show potential last year and he is still only 23 years old. Many baseball experts are projecting Urias to be a breakout pitcher this season and remain in the Dodgers rotation. His Bowman Chrome Auto has a lot of upside to go up in value if you are able to find one heading into the start of the season. Look for Urias’s Bowman Chrome Auto to see a 50 percent increase or more this season. His card could be a great buy low on especially ungraded examples. High-grade examples will be a lot more difficult to obtain.

42 – 2012 Bowman Chrome Eddie Rosario Rookie Auto

Rosario was an under the radar buy heading into the start of 2019 and the same applies this year for 2020. He had career highs in homers last season with 32 homers and 109 RBI’s. The Twins are favored to win the AL Central again this year and Rosario’s Bowman Chrome Auto should see a big bump in value. Ungraded examples are inexpensive as these are a great buy in bulk candidate because they are so cheap with a lot of upside. I expected ungraded examples to see a 100+ increase in value especially if Rosario starts out hot. BGS 9.5/10 examples are also very obtainable and those should see a similar result of value increase, PSA 10’s however are a little tougher to obtain because there is only 19 examples according to the Population Report as of February 2020.

43 – 2010 Bowman Chrome D.J. LeMahieu Rookie Auto

LeMahieu had a monster season with the Yankees in 2019, and as a result, his Bowman Chrome Auto reached an all-time high in value. He is now heading into his free agent season with the Yankees in 2020 and turns 32 years old this summer. His Bowman Chrome Auto is very obtainable still heading into the start of the 2020 season, which is surprising considering he had a huge season in 2019. I project D.J. to have another big season with the Yankees and see ungraded examples of his card seeing a 100+ percent increase in value. High-grade examples are a lot more sought after because there is only a limited number examples on both PSA 10’s and BGS 9.5/10s.

44 – 2010 Bowman Chrome Manny Machado Rookie Auto

Machado’s Bowman Chrome Auto has come way down in value then where it was a couple of years ago. During the 2019 season, he hit for the lowest average of his career but still showed plenty of power. Machado is a great bounce back candidate this season and already on a Hall of Fame path. Considering he is a star player, there is still plenty of upside for his Bowman Chrome Auto to increase back in value. He is entering his age 27 season and many players have their best season of their career at that age. I would expect an increase of value of 50 percent or higher on ungraded examples of Machado’s Chrome Auto. BGS 9.5/10 examples should also see a similar increase in value.

45 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Austin Riley Rookie Auto

Riley debuted in his rookie season with the Braves last year in 2019. He started off hot hitting homeruns often but then quickly slumped towards the end of the season. This season he is projected to be the Braves starting third baseman, he is still only 23 years old but could take the next step and improve a lot in 2020. A lot of baseball experts still love his power potential and upside. Ungraded examples should see a 50-65 percent increase this year in 2020 especially if Riley is able to get hot again like at the start of debut last year. High-grade examples should also see a similar result of an increase in value.

46 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Jose Peraza Rookie Auto

Peraza joined the Boston Red Sox in 2020 and is projected to possibly be their starting second baseman. He is the ultimate buy low and a very low risk investment with sneaky good upside. In fact, Peraza’s Bowman Chrome Auto is so cheap that you can even get a color of him for a similar amount of his base. Everyone is always trying to find an unknown player to invest in that could have a good year and Peraza may very well just be that player in 2020. His Bowman Chrome Auto has the potential see a possible 150-300 percent increase in value.

47 – 2011 Bowman Chrome Aaron Hicks Rookie Auto

Hicks is projected to miss the first half of the 2020 season with the Yankees. Keep an eye on buying his Bowman Chrome Auto the next couple of months before he comes back and here is why. Hicks is the regular starting center fielder for the Yankees, and considering he’s on a very popular team that’s favored to win the World Series makes his card worth buying. His Bowman Chrome Auto is very affordable and the prices could even drop more before he comes back. Both ungraded and graded examples should double in value from now until Hicks comes back the second half of the season. There is just 20 graded PSA 10 examples of his Bowman Chrome Auto according to the PSA Population Report.

48 – 2013 Bowman Chrome Oscar Mercado Rookie Auto

Mercado debuted as a rookie with the Cleveland Indians last year. He is the projected starting center fielder for the Indians and has the potential to get a lot better in 2020. Mercado’s Bowman Chrome Auto is a great low investment that could easily see a 100 percent increase in value. Sometimes refractors also sell for a similar range than base and anytime you can get a refractor for the same price invest in the refractor over the base version. Mercado is one of the more under the radar players heading into the start of the 2020 season and could make a big jump this year and surprise a lot of people.

49 – 2016 Bowman Chrome Mauricio Dubon Rookie Auto

Dubon was traded to the San Francisco Giants last season and is projected to be their starting second baseman this year in 2020. He is just 25 years old and a prospect that is flying under the radar heading into the start of 2020. Dubon Chrome Auto is a great buy low with a lot of sneaky good upside, as ungraded examples should see a 80-100 percent increase in value. High-grade examples are a lot more sought after so I would recommend just investing in ungraded Bowman Chrome Autos of Dubon.

50 – 2015 Bowman Chrome Mike Yastrzemski Rookie Auto

Yastrzemski debuted as a rookie last year with the San Francisco Giants. He would hit 21 homeruns in 107 games played. Yastrzemski’s grandfather is Hall of Famer Red Sox Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski. I think for that reason alone will cause the value of Mike Yastrzemski Bowman Chrome Auto to increase in value. Yastrzemski’s Bowman Chrome Auto should see a 60-80 percent increase in value this season on ungraded examples.

Modern sports cards would forever change dating back from the early 1990s. What changed? Sports card companies quickly learned from their mistakes in the late 1980s and early '90s which were they were previously over producing certain cards and had to find a way to forever change the future of modern cards. Starting in the early '90s sports card companies quickly learned to re-create the supply and demand again for modern cards by establishing certified on-card autographs, rookie autographs, rare inserts like refractors, serial numbered cards, redemption cards, and eventually developing rare colored bordered autographed cards. The once prevalent stigma that only vintage baseball cards hold value has vanished. Nowadays modern sports cards are continually selling for record prices at baseball card auction houses and there are still many people unaware of the value that these cards. I have developed a list of some of the top 15 most expensive modern sports cards.

1. 2009 Bowman Chrome Mike Trout Superfractors Autograph 1/1 BGS 9/10

The Trout Superfractor caused a huge buzz last spring in 2018 when it would sell at an auction for $400,000. The card had previously appeared a few times and could be found from a google search as well, and this card was actually for sale for a good amount of time. There is even some speculation that card could have been bought for around $250,000 just a few years ago but remained un-sold until last year. The buyer who bought the Trout card last year mentioned how he hopes to one day re-sell this card as the record for highest sale of any sports card one day. Could this card go down as the Holy Grail of sports cards?

2. 2003 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Logos Lebron James Rookie Auto 1/1 PSA 9

The Lebron James one of a kind, autographed rookie card featuring a NBA "logoman" patch sold in auction for a staggering $312,000 sale in 2016. What is it worth today?

3. 2000 Playoff Contenders Tom Brady Autograph Championship Ticket Rookie /100 BGS 9/10

This card sold just a few months ago at the end of February through eBay auction for $400,000. The sale of this card caused a lot of buzz throughout the entire sports world, as many people were un-aware a modern sports card could sell for that much. Social media was buzzing and many other sports media outlets because of the sale of this card, and even Tom Brady himself noticed the price of what this card sold for and posted on his Instagram account jokingly saying “I have to look for things in my basement.” The sale of this card was recorded as the highest modern football card ever. Last year in 2018 the same card was actually sold for $250,000 on buy it now but there was speculation if the sale was not legitimate, but within only a year later the card reached as high as 400k! Is there any more contenders Brady autographs out there similar to this one buried away in sealed cases/boxes from 2000?

4. 2003-04 Exquisite Collection LeBron James Autographed Rookie Parallel Patch #78 /23 BGS 9.5/10

This card is so rare that they are no recent sales within the last couple of years. The last confirmed sale of this particular card was in 2015, which sold for $95,000. Four years later, this card could exceed $200k. Supply and demand is the reasoning as to why this card is so valuable, this card is numbered to just 23 and there is only one graded a BGS 9.5 with a 10 Autograph. A similar card but only numbered to /75 sold for 13k in 2014, which was the 03-04 LeBron James UD Exquisite Limited Logos Rookie RPA Auto Rookie /75 BGS 9.5. As LeBron Exquisite Autograph rookies were actually pretty obtainable for years now they are impossible to find! LeBron will easily become the all-time leading scorer within about 3-4 years and that is when the value of his stuff will reach all-time highs in value.

5. 2018 Bowman Chrome Shohei Ohtani Auto Rookie Superfractors 1/1 BGS 9.5/10

Shohei Ohtani was drawing comparisons to Babe Ruth during the start of the 2018 baseball season. Ohtani was dominating both pitching and hitting and a player has not done this rare combination since Ruth. This buzz caused Ohtani to get a ton of publicity and his cards were beginning to become highly sought after. Each baseball season during the early part of the season, Topps releases the new Bowman set in the middle of April. Collectors and buyers quickly found out that Ohtani’s first autograph featured in an Angels uniform would be released in this product. Once the product was released blowoutcards.com set a bounty of $65k for anyone that would pull the Ohtani Superfractor Autograph and got it graded in BGS 9.5/10 condition. They would eventually increase the bounty to 75k and even 100k, within a couple of weeks the card was pulled out of a $110 box and received a BGS 9.5/10 grade in May of 2018. The card was not sold to blowoutcards, but however was put up through auction from Goodwin & Co. Auctions and would sell for $184,000 in September of 2018!

6.1993 Upper Deck SP Foil Derek Jeter Rookie #279 PSA 10

Jeter’s SP rookie has soared in value since the start of 2019 in all grades especially PSA 7’s and up! His SP rookie is considered his most popular rookie card and is a short printed card along with being labeled as the registry card on the PSA’s Registry. Many of these are condition sensitive as a prime example shows that there is just only 22 graded PSA 10 examples according the PSA Population Report. This card featured in a 10 last year sold for almost 100k which was a record high for this particular card. Only dating back a few years ago you could have bought the same card for around 37k in 2016. Imagine being able to load up on these in 93 where many people then were un-aware of where the value of this card would be today. How much higher will Jeter SP rookies increase upon his Hall of Fame induction next January of 2020?

7. 2013-14 National Treasures Gold Giannis Antetokounmpo Rookie Patch Auto /25 PSA 9

Giannis Anteokounmpo aka “The Greek Freak” has skyrocketed in value this 2018-19 basketball season. Giannis has reached all-time highs in value as he is bound to win the NBA MVP this season and has carried the Bucks deep into the playoffs. One of Giannis’s most sought after cards is his National Treasures Gold Rookie Patch Autograph numbered out of 25, as there is none higher graded than this one. This particular card has sold as high as almost 90k at eBay auction. In the beginning of the '18 season, ungraded versions of this card were selling for just $6,500-$6,800 range! Will this Giannis card continually trend up in value within in the coming years?

8. 2007-08 Upper Deck Kevin Durant Exquisite Kevin Durant Exquisite Auto 3 Color Patch /35 BGS 9/10

Similar to LeBron, KD also features an Exquisite Rookie Auto card. As this is often regarded as KD’s most sought after card. This card has sold recently as high as $66,000, as only 6 out of 17 that are graded features a 3 color patch, as the 3 color patch on this card and other rookie patches autographs adds a lot more overall value. Other examples that are featured as only a one-color patch sell for just 35k recently. Only a couple of years ago KD’s autograph rookie in an Exquisite was in the 15k range as these have doubled in valued dating back to just 5-6 years ago. Where will these rare KD Exquisite Auto Rookies wind up within a couple of years?

9. 2006 Bowman Chrome Draft Clayton Kershaw Auto Red Refractor /5 BGS 9.5/10

Dating back to 2002, Bowman created its own separate autographed set for the best baseball prospects. Each year the Bowman Draft sets are released with many high-end color variation autographs that are chase cards. In 2006, Evan Longoria appeared on the cover of the Bowman Draft box however, Clayton Kershaw turned out to be the best player from that box. One of the biggest cards you could have pulled from this particular box at the time was his autographed red refractor serial numbered out of five. This card is his second most sought after card with only his superfractor being more desirable. Kershaw’s red refractor autograph featured in a BGS 9.5 recently sold for $51,300 at eBay auction this month. Where will Kershaw rank as one of the all-time pitchers when he finishes his career? Are there any other Red autographs or even Oranges out there still waiting to be pulled of him.

10. 2009-10 National Treasures Steph Curry Auto Jry RPA 3 Color Patch /99 – BGS 9.5/10

Steph Curry’s Autographed rookie cards continue to climb in value as he is already regarded as the greatest shooter in NBA history. Curry is trying to achieve his fourth NBA Championship this season and has single handily changed how the NBA is played today with him revolutionizing the three pointer. Curry’s most sought after card remains his National Treasures 3 Color Patch Auto /99, especially high-grade examples graded a BGS 9.5/10. This card has sold for as high as $55,000 recently within the last couple of months. Only dating back to last fall of 2018 these were 30-36k range. Will these continue to climb in value?

11. 2001 Bowman Chrome Albert Pujols Autograph Refractor /500 – BGS 9.5/10

One modern sports card that has been considered one of the most sought after cards in the hobby is the 2001 Bowman Chrome Albert Pujols Auto Refractor. Dating back to 2001 this card was a redemption card, and not all 500 of these were actually redeemed, which makes this even more desirable and rare. Pujols Bowman Chrome Autos have been selling steadily for 15-20k range at eBay for the last couple of years. This card will always be regarded as his best, can this continually increase in value within in the coming years or has this already reached peaked value?

12. 2017 Panini Contenders Patrick Mahomes Cracked Ice Auto /25 PSA 10

Cracked Ice football autographed rookie cards have become highly sought after. These types of cards are serial numbered typically 24, 22 and a couple of other examples. The vertical version is also a lot more valuable than the horizontal version. Mahomes Cracked Ice autographed rookie last season reached all-time highs and sold for 16k at auction. As these nearly went up 5x in value from the previous season. The sky is the limit for Mahomes and this card!

13. 2015-16 The Cup Connor McDavid Rookie Patch Autograph /99 BGS 9.5/10

New modern hockey cards have reached insane prices including many star players like Connor McDavid. McDavid’s high-end autographs sell for insane prices including this particular card called the The Cup featured in a rookie patch autograph numbered to 99 and graded a BGS 9.5 with a 10 autograph. This card has sold for as high 66k+ at an auction and BGS 9’s sell for nearly 40k. Can these continually go up in value?

14. 2001 SP Authentic Golf Tiger Woods Gold Rookie Autograph #45 /100 PSA 10 (card shown is /999; not 100)

Tiger Woods is arguably the most popular golfer of all-time. Many people ever wondered if he would ever make it all the way back and win another major championship again in his career. The historical comeback was completed this past April when Woods won the Masters and put back on the green jacket once again. His cards immediately reached all-time highs in value, one example being his 01 SP Authentic Rookie Autograph graded in a PSA 10 which sold for 35k at eBay auction shortly after the Masters win. 15. 2018-19 National Treasures Luka Doncic Rookie Patch RPA Autograph /99

Luka Doncic last season quickly became a star in the NBA in just his rookie season with the Mavericks. As a result, his newest product a National Treasures Rookie Autograph /99, which only released last April has already sold for over 15k at eBay auction ungraded and some other versions even higher. Many collectors or buyers belief he is the future of the NBA and are investing with confidence hoping that this card will easily double or triple in value someday similar to other NBA established stars.

A one-of-a-kind basketball card with an NBA logo patch of Michael Jordan and Lebron James' jerseys sold for $900,000 in February of 2020 through Goldin Auctions. The 2003-2004 Exquisite Collection All NBA Access Pass Michael Jordan/Lebron James 1/1 BGS 8.5 is the new holy grail of modern sports cards.

Zion Williamson has received a ton of hype since he was a high school star basketball player just two years ago. Williamson was one of the most talked about high school athletes of all-time, he is best known for his insane dunks and tremendous athletic ability. He played one year at Duke and many basketball experts were saying Williamson was one of the best players ever to put on a college uniform. He would make the transition to the NBA and was drafted number one overall in the NBA Draft in June of 2019. Since he was drafted, many collectors could not wait to get their hands on some Zion rookie cards. “Zion Mania," “Chase for Zion," and 'Hunt for Zion” has often been referenced this basketball season when pack rippers have been opening basketball packs from 2019-2020 season in hopes to pull a Zion card. Williamson made his long awaited NBA debut on January 23, 2020 and prior to his debut many of sports cards sold for record prices! Since his debut he has lived up to the hype thus far averaging nearly 20 points and 8 rebounds per game.

One of the most popular parallel autograph rookie autograph cards are Panini Cracked Ice Rookie Autographs. These cards are all serial numbered typically in the 20-25 range. This particular Autograph Cracked Ice rookie card of Zion was card number 01/25, which number one is his jersey number. Being so that this card is number 1 ads a lot more overall value because a lot of collectors or buyers want a player’s card that is his jersey number. Zion also features a rare Panini Contenders Autograph rookie card serial numbered out of 75. This card is similar to the Cracked Ice version, however this one is considered a base autograph version that is serial numbered. One rare color autograph featured in Prizm is Zion’s Red Signatures rookie autograph. The card features a die-cut looking themed design and is considered a short print. There is also a base version autograph, rare blue and gold version (which are highly sought after). This is another great option to invest in to go along with his other Prizm Rookie Autograph.

13. 2019-2020 Prizm Auto Silver Penmanship Base

This card is considered Zion’s Base Prizm Autograph Rookie card. Base Prizm Autographed Rookies are continually sought after each year. It has been rumored that Panini made all of these a lot more Short Printed this year because of all the hype Zion was receiving and for that reason alone they are already very sought after. This is a great card to invest in because it is still very obtainable for many collectors or buyers and will only become tougher to find since its short printed.

14.2019-2020 Crown Royal Kaboom SSP

Panini Crown Royal decided to create a SSP (Super-Short-Print) insert card of Zion. This card is very rare and limited and considered a case hit, its unknown still of how many of these were printed but you would have to expect it would be less than 100-250 total copies. The creation of this card directly correlates with the popular and demand for Michael Jordan inserts cards and this card has already drawn huge buzz and demand. Being so that this card is already so rare and valuable it will only becoming tougher to find within the coming years. This was a great idea and unique card of Zion that offers buyers or collectors a rare insert card of Zion.

15. 2019-2020 Donruss Auto SSP

Zion is featured in a Donruss Rookie Autograph set, this card is considered very limited and sought after. Zion’s Donruss Autograph Rookie is a SSP (Super-Short-Print), this card features a bold on-card signature. The demand for this Zion card is strong and these will continually become tougher to find within the coming years. Will more Donruss Autographed Rookie cards like this one become more sought after in the future?

16. 2019-2020 Origins Auto

One of the more unique or throwback type of Zion cards this season is his Origins Patch Autograph rookie serial numbered out of /25. The card features a 3-color patch and a sticker auto. A couple of things to point out about this card is this is a very thick card, which means its condition sensitive. The corners could easily be nicked or the edges since this card is so thick. This particular example the autograph runs off the sticker, which also effects the overall value.

17. 2019-2020 Revolution Cosmic Parallel Insert /100

Zion is featured in another insert type of card and this one is serial numbered out of /100. I would expect more serial numbered insert cards to be made like this in the coming years of basketball because 1990s basketball inserts are extremely sought after especially serial numbered examples. This insert of Zion could easily trend up in value especially high-grade examples.

18. 2019-2020 Zion Prizm Pulsars

One other rare parallel rookie of Zion that released this year in Prizm is his Pulsar rookie. They are featured in Purple /35, Pink /42, Green /25. Pulsars are similar to color themed cards except they have a refractor shine throughout the card and are serial numbered. Zion features many other color themed Prizm Rookie cards that are very popular! Pulsar colors of Zion will continue to sell very well since they are so limited and already becoming tougher to fin.

19. 2019-2020 Prizm Cracked Ice Colors Base

Zion also has Cracked Ice themed colorways featured in base cards. This includes Orange, Green, Red, Pink and Blue, all of these are short print and very popular. The blue one is serial numbered out of /99 and seems to be worth the most but the other are still drawing a lot of interest as well.

20. 2019-2020 Prizm Rookie

Zion’s base Prizm rookie card has been one of his most popular cards throughout the hobby the last couple of months. This card will easily become his PSA Rookie Registry card, base Prizm rookies on other star players continue to soar in value. Great card to invest in long-term or even buy in bulk because this card will always be considered his most popular base rookie card. PSA 10s or BGS 9.5 examples especially will continually become more sought after, the time to invest in a high-grade Zion base Prizm rookie is now! This Prizm base rookie card of Zion of has been one of the most sold on eBay since its release in late November.

NFL's Top 100 Players of All-Time & Their Key Football Cards

The NFL during the 2019 season celebrated its 100^th season of the league. A panel consisting of media members, former players and league personnel would vote on which players who were the greatest players all-time at each position over the course of the 100 years of the NFL. A number of finalists were chose at each position and the best coaches were voted on as well. NFL Network did segments on each position which included, 10 quarterbacks, 12 running backs, 10 wide receivers, 5 tight ends, 7 offensive tackles, 7 offensive guards, 4 centers, 7 defensive ends, 7 defensive tackles, 6 middle/inside linebackers, 6 outside linebackers, 7 cornerbacks, 6 safeties, 2 kickers, 2 punters, 2 kick/punt returners and 10 coaches. The players were not selected in the traditional 1-100 list order so I decided to compile my own list using the players that were specifically selected at each position and rank them 1-100. I also wanted to point out one football card of each player and talk about the history and value of these players’ sports cards. Here is my list of the top 100 players off all-time in the NFL.

1 – Jim Brown (1957-1965)

Brown is often considered the greatest athlete of all-time to ever play in the NFL. He is the original G.O.A.T. (Greatest off All-Time), who won three MVP awards and lead the league in rushing yards eight times. He would help revolutionize the running back position and won a championship with the Cleveland Browns. His most sought after card is his 1958 Topps Rookie, a classic vintage sports card which is still very undervalued in low-grade examples and certified signed copies, in my opinion.

2 – Lawrence Taylor (1981-1993)

LT forever changed how to rush the quarterback from the outside linebacker position. He is often considered the greatest defensive player to ever play in the NFL. LT won the DPOY award 3 times in his career along with two Super Bowls with the New York Giants. LT’s most popular football card is his 1982 Topps Rookie card. Graded PSA 9 examples are still very obtainable for buyers and collectors as this card will always have great long-term value.

3 – Tom Brady – (2000-pres)

Brady has won six Super Bowls, the most by any quarterback of all-time. Due to his incredible accomplishments, he is often considered the greatest quarterback of all-time. He has played since the year 2000 and his cards have sold for record amounts within the last couple of years and will continue to become more sought after each year. Brady’s Contenders Autograph Rookie in 2000 set the standard for newer football Contenders cards. His Contenders Autograph card has a limited base autograph along with a rarer version serial numbered /100. Contenders Autographs in 2019 are still one of the most sought after most valuable modern sports cards today.

4 – Joe Montana – (1979-1994)

Montana during the 1980s won four Super Bowls with the 49ers. He is often considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Montana would win three Super Bowl MVP awards and two regular season MVP awards in his career. His most sought after card is his rookie card from 1981 Topps. Graded PSA 9 examples have a ton of upside to keep going up in value, great long-term investment for both collectors and buyers. Montana will always be considered one of the all-time greatest players in NFL history.

5 – Jerry Rice (1985-2004)

Rice is often considered the greatest NFL receiver of all-time and some football experts rated him as the number one player of all-time. He holds many NFL records including, most receptions, most receiving yards, and the most receiving touchdowns. Rice won three Super Bowls with the 49ers, an MVP award and was named to the NFL’s first team 1980s and 1990s All-Decade team. His most popular card remains his rookie card 1986 Topps. His card has exploded in value in PSA 9’s and 10s within the last couple of years and will continue to trend up in value.

6 – Walter Payton – (1975-1987)

Many current and former NFL running backs consider Walter Payton the greatest running back of all-time. The Walter Payton Man of the Year award was named after him in his honor. It honors a player’s volunteer and charity works, as well as his excellence on the field. Payton won a Superbowl and MVP award with the Bears. He was one of the most dominant running backs of all-time. His most popular card remains his vintage rookie card from 1976 Topps. Centered PSA 8 examples are a great investment that could easily go up a lot more in value.

7 – Peyton Manning- (1998-2016)

Manning is often regarded as one of the greatest statistical quarterbacks of all-time. He holds the record for passing touchdowns in a season with 55 and passing yards in a season with 5,477. Manning was a two time Super Bowl Champion and won the regular season MVP award five times. He revolutionized the quarterback position with being able to read defenses pre-play and changing with an audible at the line of scrimmage. His most sought after card is his 1998 Playoff Contenders Autograph rookie. This card is becoming very difficult to find and many of them feature autographs with faded ink, which affects the value. Look for one with a bold auto, Will Manning Contenders Auto rookie ever approach Brady’s value someday?

8 – Barry Sanders – (1989-1998)

Barry Sanders is regarded as one of the best running backs of all-time, best known for his quickness and elusiveness. Many football experts often say had Sanders not retired early with the Lions in his career he would have all of the major running back records. He was an NFL MVP in 1997, led the league in rushing four times and was a six-time All-Pro. His most popular rookie card is his 1989 Score rookie, PSA graded 10 examples are continually trending up in value each year. Investing in this card will pay off hugely in the long-term, also look for signed and slabbed examples of this card as well!

9 – Reggie White – (1985-2000)

White is often regarded as one of the best defensive ends of all-time. He ranks 2^nd all-time in career sacks with 198. White would win a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers, he was also a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, eight-time First-team All-Pro and a 13-time Pro Bowler. His most sought after card is his 1984 Topps USFL rookie, investing in a PSA 9 is a smart option because these still have plenty of upside to go up in value within the coming years. White’s USFL rookie is beginning to become tougher to find so invest in a PSA 9 example could pay off hugely for collectors or buyers.

10 - Johnny Unitas – (1956-1973)

Unitas is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. He is often mentioned as being one of the first quarterbacks to play in the NFL that is compared to this generation of quarterbacks today. Unitas featured a strong throwing arm and was a fan favorite throughout his career. He was a Super Bowl champion with the Colts, three-time NFL Champion, three-time NFL MVP, 10-time Pro Bowler and a 5-time First-team All-Pro. His most sought after card remains his 1957 Topps Rookie, this card is considered one of the best vintage football rookie cards of the hobby. Unitas’s rookie card is highly sought after especially high-end PSA graded examples. His rookie card will only continue to increase in value.

11 – Joe Greene – (1969-1981)

Greene is considered one of the greatest defensive lineman in NFL history. He played defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire career. During the era that he played, he was often considered the best player of his generation and one of the most popular players in the NFL. Greene was a four-time Super Bowl Champion, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, 10-time Pro Bowler and a five-time First-team All-Pro. Greene is also famous for appearing on a Coca-Cola commercial during a Super Bowl ad in 1980, which is considered one of the best television commercials of all-time. His best card is his 1971 Topps Rookie card, investing in a PSA 8 or higher is a smart investment because 8’s are continually trending up in value on vintage football rookies. Greene’s rookie graded in a PSA 8 only has 225 graded examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020.

12 – Dick Butkus (1965-1973)

Butkus defined the middle linebacker position and was one of the most feared defensive players in NFL history. He would play his entire career with the Chicago Bears, where he was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, six-time First-team All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler. Butkus has often been regarded as the most feared tackler of all-time. His most sought after card is his 1966 Philadelphia Rookie card, which is highly regarded and is continually trending up in value. Centered PSA 8 examples and higher of this card are considered one of the premier cards of the 1960s and these will continue to become more sought after each year.

13 – Deion Sanders – (1989-2005)

Sanders was one of the most popular players of his era and often referred to as “Prime Time” for his stellar and electrifying plays. He is often considered the greatest cornerback in the history of the NFL. Sanders would win a Super Bowl with both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. He was also a Defensive Player of the Year, nine-time First-team All-Pro and an eight time Pro Bowler. He is the only athlete ever to play in both a Super Bowl and World Series. His most popular card is his 1989 Score Rookie card. Investing in a PSA 10 example is a great option because these are still very undervalued and still have plenty of room to go up in value.

14 – Ronnie Lott (1981-1994)

Lott is considered the greatest safety of all-time in NFL history. He would win four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers. Lott was also a six-time First-team All-Pro, two-time NFL interceptions leader and a 10 time Pro Bowler. His most sought after card is his 1982 Topps Rookie, this card has a very low POP in a PSA 10 example. Investing in a PSA 10 of Lott could pay off hugely because 10’s of elite players are continually trending up in value and being so that there is only 74 graded PSA 10 examples as of January 2020 on the PSA Population Report, makes this a very good investment.

15 – Deacon Jones – (1961-1974)

Jones is considered the greatest defensive end in NFL history. He revolutionized the position of a defensive end and because of Jones’s dominant play on defensive, he was the first player to define “sacking the quarterback.” Jones was often sacking the quarterback before they were even being tracked and because of his dominant defensive play helped paved the way for many other future star defensive pass rushers. His most sought after card remains his 1963 Topps rookie card. Investing in old sports cards such as this PSA 8 example is a great long-term investment because this card in this high-grade example will continually trend up in value. There is only a little over a hundred examples on the PSA Population Report in graded 8 examples as of December 2019.

16 – Dan Marino – (1983-1999)

Marino is regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all-time, he would play his entire career with the Miami Dolphins. During the era that he played, he was often regarded as one of the best players in the NFL. He was an MVP in 1984, three-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. Marino also led the league in passing yards five times. His most sought after card remains his 1984 Topps Rookie. Investing in at least a PSA 9 example is a smart investment because these will continually trend up in up value and Marino will always be an all-time great quarterback.

17 – Otto Graham – (1946-1955)

Graham is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of his era. He would lead the Cleveland Browns to multiple champions in both the AAFC and NFL. Graham would win three NFL Championships in his career along with three MVP’s. He was also a five-time Pro Bowler, four-time First-team All Pro and a two-time NFL passing yards leader. His best card is his 1950 Bowman rookie, investing in at least a PSA 6 centered example is a smart investment because these will continually become tougher to find.

18 – Anthony Munoz – (1980-1992)

Munoz ranks on many offensive lineman lists as the best overall lineman in NFL history. He was a 9-time First-team All-Pro and an 11-time Pro Bowler. Munoz’s most sought after card is his rookie card from 1982 Topps. This card has seen a big increase in value in high-grade condition within the last month from November of 2019 through December of 2019. Investing in a PSA 9 will pay off hugely because PSA 10s are becoming very difficult to find. This card will always have great value in high-grade condition, both PSA 9 and PSA 10 have a low PSA POP report.

19 – Emmitt Smith – (1990-2004)

Smith is regarded as one of the best running back of all-time. He holds multiple NFL records including most rushing yards of all-time and most touchdowns of all-time. Smith would win three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys, one of which he be named Super Bowl MVP. He was also an eight-time Pro Bowler, NFL MVP and was a four-time NFL rushing yards leader and touchdown leader. His most popular card is his 1990 Score Supplemental Rookie, graded PSA 10 examples are a great investment because Smith will always have great value because he is the all-time leading rusher in NFL history.

20 – John Elway – (1983-1998)

Elway was one of the top quarterbacks of his era, playing his entire career with the Denver Broncos. He would win two Super Bowls including a Super Bowl MVP and a regular season MVP in 1987. Elway was also a nine-time Pro Bowler and often was mentioned for being one of the best pure athletes in NFL history who could have played multiple different sports. His most sought after card is his 1984 Topps Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 9 example is a smart investment because 9’s will continue to trend up in value within the coming years.

21 – Gale Sayers – (1965-1971)

Sayers was one of the most dominant running backs during the era that he played. He would play his entire career with the Chicago Bears, where won the Rookie of the Year award, a five-time First-team All-Pro and a two-time NFL rushing yards leader. Sayers was one of the most explosive runners in the history of the NFL, he owns the NFL record of 138.75 all-purpose yards per game. His most sought after card his 1966 Philadelphia Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 8 example is a great investment because vintage PSA rookies graded 8s or higher are continually becoming more sought after each year.

22 – Ray Lewis – (1996-2012)

Lewis was known for being one of the best inspirational leaders both on and off the field. He is considered to be one of the best middle linebackers of all-time in NFL history. Lewis played his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens where he would win two Super Bowl Championships and win a Super Bowl MVP. He was also a 13-time Pro Bowler, two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and a seven-time First-team All-Pro. His best card remains his 1996 Bowman’s Best rookie. Graded PSA 10 examples are a great investment because this card is Lewis’s PSA Hall of Fame Registry rookie card and this card will continually trend up in value.

23 – Sammy Baugh – (1937-1952)

Baugh is one of the best quarterbacks of his era who played his entire career for the Washington Redskins. He was a two-time NFL Champion, seven-time First-team All-Pro and a two-time NFL Player of the Year. Baugh would often led the league in multiple different statistical quarterback categories yearly. He was also known for his versatility having also played punter and defensive back throughout his career. His most popular card is his 1948 Leaf rookie card, this card is Baugh’s PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card. Investing in a centered graded example is a good investment because a lot of vintage collectors or buyers are wanting to buy the card rather than just the grade itself.

24 – Randy Moss – (1998-2012)

Moss was one of the best dynamic wide receivers of all-time. He holds the record for most touchdowns in a rookie season with 17 by a receiver and the record for most touchdowns in a season with 23. Moss also ranks 4^th all-time in receiving yards and second all-time in receiving touchdowns. One of his most sought after cards is his 1998 Bowman Autograph rookie card. The card is featured in a base autograph version, silver and gold. These are becoming a lot tougher to find, which makes one’s in high-grade condition a great investment.

25 – Don Hutson – (1935-1945)

Hutson revolutionized the wide receiver position and is credited with many modern pass routes used in the NFL today. He would spend his entire career with the Green Bay Packers where he was a three-time NFL Champion, two-time NFL MVP and an eight-time First-team All-Pro. Hutson would nearly led the league in nearly every statistical wide receiver category throughout his entire career. His most sought after card is his 1955 Topps All-American Rookie. Investing in at least a PSA 7 graded example is smart because there is only 127 graded PSA 7 examples as of January 2020. PSA 7’s still have a lot of upside to go up in value as there still is some collectors or buyers not aware of how dominant of a player Hutson was.

26 – Brett Favre – (1991-2010)

Favre was an all-time great quarterback who played 20 NFL seasons. He would become the first player in NFL history to throw for 500 touchdowns, he also owns the record for most consecutive starts by a quarterback of all-time. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment was winning the Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. Favre would led the league in touchdowns four times and win three NFL MVP awards. His most popular card is his 1991 Stadium Club rookie card, where Favre’s actual name is spelled wrong on the card. PSA 10 or 9 examples of this card are a great long-term investment because Favre will always be regarded as an all-time great quarterback.

27 – Alan Page – (1967-1981)

Page is considered one of the greatest defensive tackles in NFL history. He is best known for being a member of the Vikings “Purple People Eaters,” which was known as a defensive line that often sacked the quarterback. Page had 148 and a half sacks in his career and there has been multiple reports saying that he had five other seasons with 10 sacks or more that were not credited at the time. He was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, six-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His most popular card is his 1970 Topps Rookie, investing in a PSA 9 example is a great investment because they are still very obtainable and feature a low POP of just 115 PSA 9 examples as of January 2002. Page will always have great long-term value!

28 – Bruce Smith – (1985-2003)

Smith was one of best defensive ends of all-time, he is best known for being the all-time career NFL leader in sacks with 200. He was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, eight-time First-team All-Pro and an 11-time Pro Bowler. Smith played 19 seasons in the NFL and 13 of them he had at least 10 sacks. His most popular card remains his 1986 Topps Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 9 example is a great option because these still have plenty of upside to go up in value and 10 examples are very difficult to find. Will another player break Smith’s all-time sacks record?

29 – Jack Lambert – (1974-1984)

Lambert revolutionized the middle-linebacker position by becoming the field general and being required to defend both the run and the pass. He would play his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he would win four Super Bowls, a Defensive Player of the Year award, a six-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1976 Topps Rookie card, this card is considered one of the best rookie cards of the 1970s era. Investing in a PSA 9 example could pay off hugely because these are continually trending up in value each year and becoming tougher to find. Lambert’s PSA 9 rookie features a POP Report of just 222 examples as of January 2020.

30 – John Hannah – (1973-1985)

Hannah is often considered one of the best offensive lineman of all-time. Many rankings have Hannah regarded as the first or second best lineman ever and even Sports Illustrated would mention him as “The Best Offensive Lineman of All-Time” in 1981. He would play his entire career with the New England Patriots where he was a 10-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1974 Topps rookie card, investing in a PSA 8 example is a great option because vintage rookies graded 8s and higher are continually trending up in value. There is only 148 known PSA 8 examples of Hannah’s rookie card according to the PSA POP Report as of January 2020 so this is a great long-term investment.

31 – Ken Houston – (1967-1980)

Houston is regarded as one of the best safeties of all-time. He was known for having great instinct and being intercept passes or scoop up fumbles. Houston was a 12-time Pro Bowler, two-time First-team All-Pro and he would play well on both the Oilers and Redskins. His best card is his 1971 Topps Rookie, graded PSA 8 examples are still very obtainable and feature a low PSA Pop Report of just a little over 200 examples as of January 2020. Houston’s PSA 8 rookie will easily trend up in value within the coming years.

32 – Merlin Olsen – (1962-1976)

Olsen was a premier defensive tackle who played his entire career with the Los Angeles Rams. He was five-time First-team All-Pro, NFL Rookie of the Year and a 14 time Pro Bowler. Olsen was considered one of the most fearsome defensive players throughout the 1960s. His most sought after card is his 1964 Philadelphia Rookie card. Graded PSA 9 examples are still very obtainable and these will continue to increase in value because they feature a PSA Pop Report of just 75 examples as of January 2020.

33 – Bob Lilly (1961-1974)

Lilly was one of the best defensive tackles of all-time, he would play his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys and was known as “Mr. Cowboy.” He is famous for having a NFL record 29-yard sack during a Super Bowl which is considered his signature moment in his career. Lilly would win a Super Bowl, be named a seven-time First-team All-Pro and was an 11-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1963 Topps Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 7 example is a great option because there is only 178 examples in that grade on the PSA POP Report as of January 2020. Lilly’s rookie card is considered one of the most popular cards of the 1960s era and these will continue to trend up in value.

34 – Ed Reed – (2002-13)

Reed is considered one of the best bawl hawk defensive safeties of all-time. He has the NFL record for most interception yards. Reed was a Super Bowl Champion with the Ravens, Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and a three-time NFL interceptions leader. He was one of the most exciting players to watch play and was electric when he would intercept passes. One of his best cards to invest in his 2002 Bowman Chrome Auto Rookie. The card features an on card auto of Reed, this card is becoming more increasingly difficult to find. Reed will always be regarded as one of the best defensive players of all-time so this is a great long-term investment.

35 – Dick “Night Train” Lane – (1952-1965)

Lane was a premier cornerback in the NFL who was a great tackler and often intercepted the ball as well. He still holds the NFL record of most of interceptions in a single season with 14; the record has lasted for more than 65 years. Lane played with the Rams, Cardinals and Lions throughout his career who was a seven-time Pro-Bowler, seven time First-team All-Pro and was a two-time NFL interceptions leader. Lane also ranks 4^th all-time in career interceptions. His best card is his 1957 Topps rookie card, investing in a PSA 8 example could pay off hugely because vintage rookies from the 1950s in high-grade are highly sought after and many of them feature a Low POP report. There is just 89 examples of Lane’s rookie graded a PSA 8 as of January 2020 and this card will always have great value because it’s Lane’s PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card.

36 – Jim Parker – (1957-1967)

Parker played both offensive tackle and offensive guard, many football experts considered him to be the greatest offensive lineman ever. He would play his entire career with the Colts where he was a two-time NFL Champion, nine-time First-team All-Pro and an eight-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1959 Topps rookie card, investing in a PSA 8 could pay off hugely because there is only 149 graded 8 examples on the PSA Pop Report as of January 2020. Parker’s rookie graded in an 8 still has plenty of upside to grow because vintage rookies from this era 8 and higher are always continually trending up in value.

37 – Gino Marchetti – (1952-1966)

Marchetti is considered one of the best defensive ends in NFL history. He is famous for making a game saving tackle during the 1958 NFL Championship game which is known as “The Greatest Game Ever Played.” Marchetti is credited by many for being one of the greatest players in NFL history. He was a premier player for the Colts where he won two NFL Championships, was a nine-time First-team All-Pro and an 11-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1952 Bowman Rookie card, this card features a large and small version but the large version is a lot more difficult to find. Both versions are great investments because Marchetti will always be regarded as an all-time great. Investing in a high-grade example of the large version could pay off hugely because these are becoming very difficult to find.

38 – Tony Gonzalez – (1997-2013)

Gonzalez is considered the greatest tight end in football of all-time. He would play 12 seasons with the Chiefs and five seasons with the Falcons. He holds the NFL record for total receiving yards by a tight end with 15,127 and is third all-time in receptions amongst all players. Gonzalez was 14 time Pro Bowler and six time First-team All-Pro. His most popular card is his 1997 SP Authentic rookie card. The card is listed as his PSA Registry rookie card and for that reason alone his card will always have great long term value. Investing in a PSA 10 example is a great option because there is only a few hundred in circulation as of December of 2019 and his card will become tougher to find in 10 examples.

39 – Rod Woodson (1987-2003)

Woodson was a star cornerback with the Steelers for 10 years, and won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. He would also be named to the Pro Bowl 11 times, voted a first team All-Pro four times, and he would win the DPOY of the year award in 1993. Woodson ranks 3^rd all-time in most career interceptions with 71. His most sought after rookie card is his 1989 Score Rookie card, investing in PSA 10 graded examples or signed and slabbed authentic examples too. Both options are great investments of Woodson.

40 – Eric Dickerson – (1983-1993)

Dickerson rushed for 13,259 yards in his career. He is famous for having the single season rushing yards record in a season with 2,105 set in 1984 with the Rams. Dickerson also has two other NFL records, which are most rushing yards in a rookie season with 1,808 and 248 rushing yards in a playoff game. He was a four-time rushing yards leader and five-time First-team All Pro. His most sought after card is his 1984 Topps rookie, this card is a great investment in a PSA 10 example as those will continue to go up in value and are becoming a lot tougher to find. As of December of 2019, there is only a little over hundred PSA 10’s on the PSA Population Report in existence.

41 – Mel Blount – (1970-1983)

Blount is regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in NFL history. He would play his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he would win four Super Bowls. Blount was a physical cornerback who was one of the most feared during the era he played. He was a five-time Pro Bowler, two-time First-team All-Pro, and won a Defensive Player of the Year award. His best card is his 1975 Topps rookie. Graded PSA 9 examples are a great long-term investment because this card has a low POP of just a little over a hundred examples as of December 2019.

42 – O.J. Simpson – (1969-1979)

Simpson was one of the best running backs of all-time he was one of the first backs in NFL history to put up historic stats. He was the first running back in NFL history to rush for 2,000 rushing yards in a single season and did it with just a 14 game schedule. During the era that he played he was often one of the most popular players in the NFL. Simpson was an NFL MVP in 1973, five-time First-team All-Pro, five-time Pro Bowler and was a four-time NFL rushing yards leader. Putting all controversial topics aside with Simpson, his best card remains his 1970 Topps Rookie card. Investing in at least a PSA 8 is a great investment because this card graded in this example still has plenty of upside to go up in value. There is only 467 examples PSA 8 graded examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020.

43 - Forrest Gregg – (1956-1971)

Gregg is regarded as one of the best offensive lineman of all-time. He would play for the Packers during the Vince Lombardi era and Lombardi often praised Gregg for his outstanding play. Gregg would win six championships during his career, which included five with the Packers and one with the Cowboys. He is famous for playing in 188 consecutive games during his career. Gregg was a nine-time Pro Bowler and seven-time First-Team All Pro. His most sought after card is his 1960 rookie card, this card in a PSA 8 is a great long-term investment because there is just 174 examples on the PSA 8 Pop Report as of January 2020. Gregg’s rookie features a spelling error on his first name; there is still plenty of upside on this card to go up in value, as this card will always have great long-term value.

44 – Chuck Bednarik – (1949-1962)

Bednarik was one of the most feared tacklers in football and was one of the last full-time two-way players in football. He would play both linebacker and center for his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles. Bednarik was a two-time NFL Champion, 10-time First-team All-Pro and was an eight-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1948 Leaf Rookie card, this card is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Investing in a centered example is a great option because centering is one of the first things that sticks out with vintage rookie cards. There is only 71 total PSA graded examples higher than this PSA 4.5 example as of January 2020. Bednarik’s Leaf rookie will always have great long-term value because this card is considered his PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card.

45 – Roger Staubach – (1969-1979)

Staubach played his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys and was one of the best quarterbacks of his era. He would lead the Cowboys to two Super Bowls Championships, one of which he would win the Super Bowl MVP. Staubach was also a six-time Pro Bowler and a four-time NFL passing rating leader. His most popular card remains his 1972 Topps rookie card. Investing in a PSA 8 centered example is a great option because PSA 8 examples and higher are continually trending up in value on vintage rookie cards like Staubach’s.

46 – John Mackey – (1963-1972)

Mackey was a premier tight-end and one of the best players in the league during the era he played in. He is credited for helping revolutionize the tight-end position in the NFL. He would win a Super Bowl with the Colts and an AFL Champion. Mackey was a three-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1964 Philadelphia Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 7 is a smart option because high-graded examples are becoming a lot tougher to find and obtain.

47 – Lance Alworth – (1962-1972)

Alworth was one of the best receivers of all-time and still holds many NFL records today. He would become a star in both the AFL and NFL where he would win both a AFL Championship in Super Bowl during his career. Alworth was a six-time First-team All-AFL, led the AFL in receiving yards, receptions and touchdowns three times. He is considered one of the best receivers of all-time, he still has multiple NFL records and Chargers franchise records. His best card is his 1963 Fleer Rookie card, PSA 8’s are becoming extremely sought after especially since there is only 90 examples in that grade according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Alworth’s rookie card will always have great value because this card is one of the premier cards of the 1960s era and regarded as his PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card.

48 – Gene Upshaw – (1967-1981)

Upshaw played offensive guard his entire career with the Oakland Raiders. He was a huge part of the dominant offensive line coached by John Madden. Perhaps one of Upshaw’s biggest accomplishments in his career was playing in three Super Bowls during three different decades and winning two of them. Upshaw was also a three-time First-team All-Pro and a six-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1972 Topps Rookie card, graded examples in a PSA 8 of this card are still easily obtainable and there is only 161 examples in that grade according to the PSA Pop Report as of January 2020. Upshaw’s rookie graded in a PSA 8 example still has plenty of upside to go up in value.

49 – Earl Campbell – (1978-1985)

Campbell was known as one of the best powerful running backs in NFL history. He had a powerful running style and a great ability to be able to break tackles. Campbell was an NFL MVP in 1979, a five-time Pro Bowler and a three-time First-team All-Pro. He would also lead the NFL in rushing yards three times. His most sought after card remains his 1979 Topps rookie card. Investing in a PSA 9 centered example is a great investment. This card in this example has just 180 PSA 9’s with no qualifiers as of December of 2019. Campbell’s rookie card in high-grade will continue to go up in value because he will always be regarded as one of the most feared NFL running backs of all-time.

50 – Steve Van Buren – (1944-1951)

Van Buren was a premier running back during the era that he played. He was the first running back in NFL history to have over 1,000 yards in a season when there was just 12 games a year, and the first to rush for over ten touchdowns in a season; which he accomplished three times. Van Buren played his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles where he was a two-time NFL Champion, six-time First-team All-Pro and a four-time rushing yards leader and rushing touchdowns leader. His best card is his 1948 Leaf Rookie card, this card has multiple different versions including a green, yellow and blue different colored jersey that Van Buren is wearing in the image. The green version one seems like the most popular since that is the color he most often wore with the Eagles. Van Buren’s rookie will always have great long-term value especially the green version example.

51 – Raymond Berry – (1955-1967)

Berry was a split-end wide receiver who played his entire career with the Baltimore Colts and was Johnny U’s favorite target. He would win two NFL Championships with Colts, one of which during the 1958 NFL Championship Game, which is known as “The Greatest Game Ever Player,” where Berry caught 12, passes for 178 yards and a touchdown. He was also a four-time First-team All-Pro, three-time NFL receiving yards and reception leader and a six-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1957 Topps Rookie card, since high-grade examples are very sought after investing in at least a PSA 5 centered example is the next option because these can easily go up in value within the coming years and are starting to become tougher to find. Berry’s Rookie will always have great long-term value because his card is a part of the PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry.

52 – Junior Seau – (1990-2009)

Seau was one of the most well-rounded linebackers in NFL history. He was one of the most passionate players on the field when he made big plays. He was an eight-time First-team All-Pro, Defensive Player of the Year in 1992 and a 12-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1990 Action Packed Rookie, this card is very condition sensitive and has a low POP of PSA 10 examples. There is just 99 PSA 10’s on the PSA Registry as of January 2020. This card is still easily obtainable in a PSA 10 example and will easily trend up in value very soon.

53 - Cal Hubbard – (1927-1936)

Hubbard was first credited with inventing the linebacker position and eventually became an offensive tackle under Coach Vince Lombardi. Similar players from Hubbard’s often considered him the greatest tackle they had ever seen. Hubbard would win four NFL Championships and was a four-time First-team All-Pro. Since Hubbard played in era when football cards were not even being made yet he does not have any football cards but eventually became an MLB umpire and does have a Bowman baseball card. His most popular card is his 1955 Bowman card, which is very tough to find in a high-grade example. There is just 30 graded PSA 8 examples on the PSA Population Report as of January 2020.

54 – Earl “Dutch” Clark – (1931-1938)

Clark was the first elite running back in the history of the NFL, he would play his entire career with the Portsmouth Spartans/Detroit Lions. He was a three-time rushing touchdowns leader, six-time First-team All-Pro and won an NFL Championship in 1935. Clark was regarded as the best player in the NFL in 1935 and 1936. His best card is his 1935 National Chicle Rookie card. This card is becoming very difficult to find and the value on this card in all grades will continue to trend up in value. Clark’s rookie will always have great long-term value because he was one of the first premier running backs in the history of the NFL.

55 – Willie Brown - (1963-1978)

Brown was a premier cornerback who starred playing in both the AFL and NFL. He was one of the leaders on many Oakland Raiders teams. Brown was a three-time Super Bowl Champion, two-time First-team All-Pro, five-time AFL All-Star and a four-time Pro Bowler. Brown is famous for intercepting a pass during Super Bowl XI and retuning it for a touchdown. His best card is his 1965 Topps Rookie, Brown’s rookie is a “Tall Boy” which means this is an oversized card. This card is becoming very tough to find in any condition and high-grade examples are continually becoming more sought after. Investing in his rookie card in at least a PSA 5 is a great option because this card will always have great long-term value because being so that it is on the PSA Football Hall of Fame Registry.

56 – Bobby Bell – (1963-1974)

Bell is regarded as one of the most athletic linebackers of all-time. He would play his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He would win a Super Bowl and was Defensive Player of the Year Award winner in 1969. His best card is his 1964 Topps Rookie card, this card is very undervalued in a PSA 8 example. There is just 117 total on the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Bell’s card will always have great value and will continue to trend up in value because he will always be regarded as one of the best linebackers in NFL history.

57 – Jack Ham – (1971-1982)

Ham is considered one of the greatest outside linebackers in the history of the NFL and was well known for his quickness. He would play his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he would win four Super Bowl Championships, earn six-time First-team All-Pro honors, Defensive Player of the Year and become an eight-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1973 Topps Rookie card, this card is one of the premier rookie cards of the 1970s era. Graded PSA 9 examples are becoming a lot more sought after because there is just 75 examples on the PSA Population Report. Investing in Ham’s rookie card is a great long-term investment because this card still has plenty of upside to go up in value.

58 – Marion Motley - (1946-1955)

Motley was a star at both fullback and linebacker. He was a powerful back who averaged 5.7 yards per carry, which is a NFL record that still stands. Motley was also one of the first African American players to play in the NFL. He would become an NFL champion with the Cleveland Browns and was the NFL rushing leader in the same year in 1950. His most sought after card is his 1950 Bowman rookie. The card is extremely valuable in high-grade examples and will keep climbing in value. Motley will always be considered one of the best players to ever play in the NFL.

59 – Art Shell – (1968-1982)

Shell was an elite offensive tackle during the era that he played. He would play his entire career with the Oakland Raiders where he would win two Super Bowl Championships. Shell was a two-time First-Team All-Pro and eight-tight Pro Bowl. His best card is his 1973 Topps Rookie card. Shell rookie graded in a PSA 8 example is still easily obtainable and there is only 253 examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. He will always be considered one of the greatest tackles in NFL history.

60- Ted Hendricks – (1969-1983)

Hendricks was a linebacker who would win four Super Bowls throughout his NFL career. He was also a four-time First-team All-Pro and an eight-time Pro Bowler. Hendricks was considered one of the best defensive players of his era. His best card is his 1972 Topps Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 8 example is a great option because these are still very undervalued. There is just 189 PSA 8 graded examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Hendricks rookie will only eventually go up more in value and become tougher to find in a high-grade example.

61 – Randy White – (1975-1988)

White played defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys for his entire career. He would finish his career with 111 total sacks, Super Bowl Champion, Super Bowl Co-MVP, a nine-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1976 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are still obtainable and could easily trend up in value since PSA 10’s are so rare and sought after. There is only 170 PSA 9 examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. White’s rookie card is a great long-term investment since he will always be considered one of the greatest defensive tackles in NFL history.

62 - Bruce Matthews – (1983-2001)

Matthews played multiple different offensive line positions throughout his career but played the most games in the NFL at the left guard position. He would play his entire career with the Houston/Tennessee Oilers/Titans organization. Matthews was a nine-time First-team All-Pro and a 14-time Pro Bowler. He is often considered one of the greatest offensive lineman to ever play in the NFL. His best card is his 1989 Score Rookie card, this card is very under-valued in PSA 10 example and still easily obtainable for many buyers or collectors. There is only 192 PSA 10 examples on the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Matthews Score rookie card will continue to trend up in value because this card is regarded as his PSA Rookie Hall of Fame registry card.

63– Larry Allen – (1994-2007)

Allen played guard for the Dallas Cowboys for 12 seasons plus two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and was regarded as one of the strongest and most athletic offensive lineman to ever play in the NFL. He would win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys during the 1995 season. Allen was a Pro Bowler for 11 seasons and 7-time First-team All-Pro. His most sought card is his 1994 Playoff Rookie graded especially PSA 10 examples, which feature a very low POP. Even investing in Allen is PSA 9 is a smart option because both grades are becoming tough to find. Allen will always have great value because he is a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

64 – Paul Warfield – (1964-1977)

Hirsh was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL during the era that he played. He would set many NFL records with the Rams and still ranks third all-time today with an average of 124.6 receiving yards per game. Hirsh would win an NFL Championship with the Rams and was a two-time First-team All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler. He was known as one of the first true deep threat targets in NFL history. Hirsh also was a part of multiple movie roles including his most famous “Crazylegs” where he stared playing himself in the film. His best card is his 1950 Bowman rookie card, graded PSA 8 examples are becoming highly sought after because there is only 69 examples as of January 2020. Hirsh’s rookie card will always have great value because this card is one of the premier rookie cards of the 1950s era.

66 - Junious “Buck” Buchanan – (1963-1975)

Buchanan was one of the best defensive players of his era, he would dominant at the defensive tackle position for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire career, Buchanan would win a Super Bowl and was often mentioned as one of the fastest defensive lineman in NFL history. He was also a two-time Pro Bowl selection and selected as a six-time AFL All-Star. His most popular card is his 1964 Topps Rookie card, this card graded in a PSA 8 example is a great investment because there is just 108 known examples as of January 2020. Buchanan’s rookie is a PSA 8 example is just very obtainable and can easily go up in value in the coming years.

67 – Mike Webster – (1974-1990)

Webster played center where he helped led the Pittsburg Steelers to four Super Bowl Championships. He was the first former player diagnosed with CTE which led to safer and better playing future conditions in the NFL. Webster was a seven-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1977 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are still easily obtainable and feature only a PSA Population of just 194. Webster will always be considered an all-time great center and his rookie card in high-grade is very undervalued.

68 – Kellen Winslow – (1979-1987)

Winslow was considered the best tight end of his era. He would set the single season for receiving yards by a tight end with 1,290 yards during the 1980 season; his record would last for 31 seasons. He would tie an NFL record by catching five touchdown passes during a game in the 1981 season. Winslow was a three-time First-team All-Pro, two-time receptions leader and five-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1981 Topps Rookie card, PSA 9s and 10s are still easily affordable and very undervalued considering how dominant of a player Winslow was. His rookie in high-grade examples will only continue to trend up in value, as there are 466 graded PSA 9 examples according to the PSA Population Report and 91 PSA 10 examples as of January 2020.

69 – Willie Lanier – (1967-1977)

Lanier was a star linebacker who played his entire career for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of a linebacker trio that is recognized as one of the most talented in NFL history. Lanier was a Super Bowl Champion, eight-time All-Pro and a six-time Pro-Bowler. His best card is his 1971 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 8 examples are still very obtainable and feature a POP report of just 223 examples as of January 2020. Gronk was one of the most popular players of his era, he was a five-time Pro Bowler and put up historic numbers for a tight end in just nine seasons. Look for Gronk’s 2010 Topps Chrome – Running/Cutting Pose rookie card graded in a PSA 10 example. There are only 127 of them on the PSA POP Report as of December of 2019. Otto will always be regarded as one of the best centers of all-time. Randle was a defensive tackle in the NFL who finished his career with 137.5 sacks, which ranks the second highest total by a defensive tackle in NFL history. His best card is his 1977 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are becoming a lot more sought after especially since PSA 10’s are extremely limited. There is just 257 PSA 9 examples of Largent’s rookie according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Largent’s rookie graded in a PSA 9 still has plenty of upside to go up in value.

79 - Emlen Tunnell – (1948-1961)

Tunnell played safety in his career and was the first African-American player to play for the New York Giants and be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was a premier defensive player who was often known for being able to intercept passes. Tunnell was a two-time NFL Champion, six-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. He had 79 career interceptions in his career, which remains the second most in NFL history. His best card is his 1951 Bowman Rookie card, this card is very undervalued and becoming tough to find in high-grade examples that are PSA 7 and higher. There is just 66 PSA 7 examples and only 52 total higher examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Tunnell’s 1951 Bowman rookie will always have great long-term value because this card is his PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card.

80 - Dwight Stephenson – (1980-1987)

Stephenson played center his entire career with the Miami Dolphins. He is often regarded as one of the best offensive lineman in the history of the NFL. He was a five-time First-team All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler. Stephenson is a member of the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll. His best card is his 1984 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are still easily affordable. There is just 161 PSA 9 examples according to the PSA Population Report. Stephenson’s rookie card is very undervalued and will continually go up in up in value because it will always be on the PSA Football Hall of Fame Rookie Registry.

81 – Adam Vinatieri – (1996-present)

Vinatieri is considered the greatest kicker in NFL history. He has kicked many clutch field goals throughout his career including one’s during the Super Bowl. Vinatieri is a four time Super Bowl champion and a three-time First-team All-Pro. He owns many NFL records including 44 straight field goals made, most career field goals made and many more. His most sought after card is his 1997 Pacific Philadelphia Rookie. High-grade examples are continually becoming sought after especially PSA 9 or PSA 10 examples. Investing in this card is a great long-term investment because these are becoming a lot tougher to find.

82 – Darrell Green – (1983-2002)

Green is considered one of the greatest cornerbacks of all-time. He was known for his speed and great longevity throughout his career. Green played his entire career with the Washington Redskins, where he would win two Super Bowls. He was also a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-team All-Pro. His best card is his 1984 Topps Rookie. This card in a PSA 10 is a great investment because it has a low POP of just a couple of hundred examples and will continually go up in value because Green’s 1984 Topps card is on the PSA Hall of Fame Registry.

83 – Mike Haynes – (1976-1989)

Haynes was a premier cornerback during the era that he played in. He would play for both the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders. Haynes was known for his quickness and great ability to intercept passes. He was a Super Bowl Champion with the Raiders, Rookie of the Year Award winner, a two-time First-team All-Pro, Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1977 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are still very obtainable but have recently doubled in value within the last two months. There is only 48 PSA 9 graded examples of Haynes rookie card as of January 2020, so this card is very tough to obtain in a PSA 9 or higher. Haynes rookie card still has plenty of room to go up in value due to its low population report.

84 – Roosevelt Brown – (1953-1965)

Brown played offensive tackle his entire career with the New York Giants. He was an NFL champion in 1956, six-time First-Team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. Brown is also a member of the New York Giants Ring of Honor. His best card is his 1956 Topps Rookie card, investing in at least a PSA 7 is a great option because these are becoming a lot tougher to find and still very obtainable. Brown’s rookie graded in a PSA 7 has just 137 examples according to the PSA Population Report as of January 2020.

85 – Lenny Moore – (1956-1967)

Moore was one of the premier running backs during the era he played in and was first player to have 20 touchdowns in a single season. He was a two-time NFL Champion, five-time First-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler. Moore would play his entire career with the Baltimore Colts where he was also a NFL Rookie of the Year winner and rushing touchdowns leader in 1964. His best card is his 1956 Topps Rookie card, Moore’s rookie card in a high-grade PSA 8 example is highly sought after as there is only 59 PSA 8 examples on the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Being so that this card is Moore’s PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry means it will always have great long-term value.

86 – Walter Jones – (1997-2009)

Jones played his entire career at the left tackle position for the Seattle Seahawks. He has been well recognized as one of the best offensive lineman of all-time in the history of the NFL. Jones was a four-time First-team All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowler. His number 71 jersey is also retired by the Seahawks. His best card is his 1997 SP Authentic Rookie card, PSA 9 examples are limited with just 48 examples according to the PSA Population Report. This card will continually become tougher to find and will trend up more in value. Jones’s SP Authentic rookie will always have great long-term value because it is regarded as his PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry card.

87 - Lee Roy Selmon – (1976-1984)

Selmon played defensive end for his entire career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a three-time First-team All-Pro, Defensive Player of the Year in 1979 and was a six-time Pro Bowler. Selmon was often regarded as one of the best defensive lineman in the league during the era that he played in. His best card is his 1977 Topps Rookie card, graded PSA 9 examples are becoming a lot tougher to find and still have plenty of upside to continue to trend up in value. According to the PSA Population Report, there is just 102 PSA 9 examples of Selmon’s Rookie as of January 2020.

88 – Joe Schmidt – (1953-1965)

Schmidt was often credited with help revolutionizing the middle-linebacker position with his speed, tackling ability, and being able to stop both the pass and the run. He would play his entire career with the Detroit Lions where he was a two-time NFL Champion, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, eight-time First-team All-Pro and a 10-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1956 Topps Rookie card, investing in a PSA 8 example of Schmidt could pay off because there 77 examples in this grade on the PSA Population Report as of January 2020. Schmidt’s rookie graded in a PSA 8 still has plenty of upside to continue to trend up in value.

89 - Randall McDaniel – (1988-2001)

McDaniel played guard primarily with the Minnesota Vikings for the majority of his career. He was a nine-time First-team All-Pro and 12-time Pro Bowler. He would play in every Vikings game from 1990-99. McDaniel is also a member of the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor. His best card is his 1989 Pro Set Rookie card, graded 10 examples are easily obtainable and feature a PSA Population Repor of just 181 as of January 2020. McDaniel’s Pro Set rookie will always have great long-term value because this card is on the PSA Football Rookie Hall of Fame Registry.

90 - Ray Guy – (1973-1986)

Guy punted his entire career for the Raiders. He is widely considered the greatest punter of all-time. He is a three-time Super Bowl Champion, six-time First-team All-Pro and as of 2019 is the only punter in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His best card is his 1974 Topps Rookie card, graded copies in a PSA 9 have a low POP report and are highly sought after. Guy is a great long-term investment especially in a high-graded PSA example.

91 – Jack Christiansen – (1951-1958)

Christiansen was a safety and return specialist who played his entire career with the Detroit Lions. He led the NFL in interceptions in 1953 and 1957 and in punt return touchdowns for four seasons. His career punt returns for touchdowns still ranks 4^th best all-time in the history of the NFL. Christiansen was a three-time NFL Champion, six-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1952 Bowman rookie, which is available in both a large and small version. The large version is a lot more sought after and more difficult to find especially in high-grade examples.

92 – Derrick Brooks – (1995-2008)

Brooks played his entire career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as outside linebacker. He was a well-rounded linebacker who could do it all, he would win a Super Bowl with the Bucs and be named Defensive Player of the Year in 2002. Brooks would also make 11 Pro Bowls and be selected as a First-team All-Pro five times. His best card is his 1995 SP rookie, graded PSA 10 examples are still very undervalued. Brooks will always be regarded as an all-time great linebacker and his rookie card featured in a 10 will become tougher to find in years to come.

93 - Dan Fortmann – (1936-1943)

Fortmann was an offensive guard who played his entire career with the Chicago Bears. He would be named team captain during the 1940 season and soon help lead the Bears to three NFL Championships in 1940, 1941 and 1943. He was also a seven-time First-team All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler. His best card is a rare 1936 Diamond Matchbooks, this card is very difficult to find and they are extremely limited. This card is so rare that it is not even listed on the PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry.

94 – Doug Atkins – (1953-1969)

Atkins helped revolutionize the defensive end position, he was one of the biggest and most feared defensive players during the era that he played. Atkins was known for having the ability to bat down throws at the line of scrimmage using his great leaping ability. He would play for the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints. Atkins was a two-time NFL Champion, four-time First-Team All-Pro and an eight time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1954 Bowman Rookie, high-grade examples are becoming a lot tougher to find. Investing in a PSA 8 is a great long-term investment because there is only 61 known PSA 8 examples on the PSA Pop report as of January 2020.

95 – Bill Hewitt – (1932-1943)

Hewitt would play both defensive end and fullback throughout his career. He was known for his quick reaction at the snap while he played on defensive. Hewitt was a two time NFL Champion, six-time First-team All-Pro and an NFL receiving touchdown leader in 1934. His best card is a 1933 Diamond Matchbooks Silver card. This card is very difficult to find and one of rarest cards to find. There is still relatively unknown about these types of cards as this card is not even listed on the PSA Rookie Hall of Fame Registry because of how rare they are.

96 – Jan Stenerud – (1967-1985)

Stenerud is the only placekicker to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as of January 2020. He would for the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings throughout his career. Stenerud would win a Super Bowl with the Chiefs, a four-time First-team All-Pro and a four-time Pro Bowler. His best card is his 1970 Topps Rookie card, investing in a least a PSA 9 is a great investment because there is just 63 known examples in this grade as of January 2020. Stenerud will always have great value and this card is still very obtainable and will continually become harder to find in high-grade examples.

97 – Mel Hein – (1931-1945)

Hein played center for the New York Giants for his entire career. He was a two-time NFL Champion and selected as a First-team All-Pro eight times. In 1938, he was named the NFL MVP. Hein helped revolutionize the center position of the importance of it for the future of the league. His most popular card is his 1955 Topps All-American Rookie. The card featured in high-grade is still very obtainable for many collectors or buyers and features a low POP. Hein’s card will always have great value since he is a member of the New York Giants Ring of Honor.

98 – Devin Hester (2006-2016)

Hester was one of the most dynamic players in the NFL to ever play. He played wide-receiver but made a name for himself returning kick offs and punts, Hester was a threat to return a kickoff or punt return for a touchdown every time he touched the ball. Hester had 20 total special teams touchdowns in his career and was a 3-time Special Teams Player of the Year. One of his best cards to invest in his 2006 Topps Chrome Autograph Rookie card. This card is still very affordable and now is the time to buy it before Hester is inducted into the Hall of Fame someday.

99 – Shane Lechler – (2000-2017)

Lechler was a punter in the NFL for 18 seasons. He was a 4-time NFL Punting Yards Leader, a seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time first-team All-Pro. Lechler set an NFL record for 47.6 average yards per punt in his career. Lechler only has one rookie card, which is a 2000 Fleer Tradition card featured with him and Sebastian Janikowski on it. The glossy version has a very low PSA Pop report in a PSA 10. Being so that Lechler has the record for average yards per punt in his career makes this card in a low POP a great long-term investment that will become very difficult to find.

100 – Billy “White Shoes” Johnson – (1974-1988)

Johnson was a wide receiver and return specialist. He made a name for himself with the Houston Oilers, within his first four years with Oilers he would return five punts for touchdowns, along with two kickoffs and 12 more touchdowns as a wide-receiver. Johnson is also known for doing one of the first touchdown celebrations in league history. His most popular card is his 1976 Topps Rookie. Johnson’s card graded in a PSA 9 is becoming increasingly difficult to find and features a very low POP. Great long-term investment of the fan favorite Billy “White Shoes” Johnson.

Many collectors who purchased Jordan cards in the 1990s would have never expected some of these current values on MJ’s cards. Jordan cards helped revolutionize the sports card hobby especially on card autographs, high-grade examples, rare serial-numbered inserts, and jersey and patch card inserts. #1 - 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Michael Jordan Green #23 /10

Jordan’s Metal Green Gems card was talk of the sports card hobby during February of 2019. This card would sell for a record $350,000 on eBay auction to a collector. His Metal Green Gem is regarded by many people in the sports card hobby as one the crown jewels of Jordan insert cards. The card has a print run of just 10 copies and many of them are most likely owned by other Jordan collectors, which makes this card almost unavailable for new future buyers or collectors. #2 – 1997 Upper Deck Michael Jordan Game Jersey Auto Patch /23

This card was one of the best ever new and innovative ideas that Upper Deck ever produced. This card helped shaped the future of sports card collecting by providing the first card that was featured with a piece of a game jersey with an on-card signature of Jordan along with a handwritten serial number from MJ. There was only 23 of these ever produced making it very difficult to find. This card is easily a six-figure+ card and will only continue to increase in value.

#3 - 1998-99 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Michael Jordan #1/50

Jordan’s Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems featured from 98-99 is another highly sought after serial numbered insert card. This one in particular is so rare that they rarely pop up for sale. This insert is a must have for any Jordan collector, many of these are already in people’s collection which will make this card difficult to re-appear on the market in the near future. Look for Jordan’s Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems card to continue to increase in value each year.

#4 – 2004 Exquisite Collection Limited Logos Michael Jordan #LL MJ /50

This card is regarded as Jordan’s first Exquisite on card autograph cards. Exquisite basketball autograph cards are considered the most sought after in the basketball hobby. Being so that this one was the first one featured of MJ in Exquisite makes this a must have for any Jordan collector. The card features a beautiful on card autograph of MJ along with a 3-color patch jersey.

#5 – 2009 Exquisite Collection Limited Logos Michael Jordan /10

Jordan’s Exquisite Autographed card from 2009 was one of the last year that Upper Deck produced an auto of him featured of him specifically from the Exquisite set. The card is extremely limited to only 10 copies and is very similar to the 04 version with a multi-color patch and on card autograph of MJ. Since Jordan stuff is so limited in the Exquisite product and this card will always be considered one of his best.

#6 – 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Michael Jordan Red /90

This card is similar to the 1997 Precious Metal Green except this card is the Red version and has a print run of 90 copies. Some Jordan collectors or buyers prefer the red version because it blends in better with Jordan’s uniform from when he was on the Bulls. Since the Green version sold for a historic amount this year the Red version continues to climb in value as well and is highly sought after too. This is an extremely difficult card to find in mint condition and even examples that were graded a PSA 6.5 sold for 65k+ within this past year. Many Jordan collectors just want to own one of these because of the notoriety of the card.

#7 – 1997 Skybox E-X2001 Essential Credentials Now Michael Jordan #9 /72

One other highly sought after mid 1990s insert of Jordan is his 1997 Skybox E-X2001 Essential Credentials Now. The card has a print run of just 72 copies and is serial numbered on the back. This card is considered one of Jordan’s best insert cards from the 1990s, these are rarely appearing for sale as well because they are so limited. The last completed sale for this rare Jordan insert sold for nearly $52,000 in a BGS 9 example.

#8 – 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie #57

This card is arguably Jordan’s most popular rookie card and considered one of the greatest rookie cards ever created in the sports card industry. Jordan’s Fleer Rookie card is continually increasing in value yearly in all different types of condition and graded examples. The image of this card is what stands out to me and is one of the best cards ever created, which shows off a young MJ with his tongue out doing one of his signature dunks. Jordan’s Fleer rookie is still a great investment with tons of upside because he is still being talked about often today. His Fleer rookie card will always be considered his most popular card for the majority of collectors who want to invest in Jordan cards.

#9 – 1984-85 Star Michael Jordan Rookie #101

Before Fleer came out with their historic set in 1986, Jordan Star cards were the first official NBA licensed cards available of Jordan you could obtain. There is many different star Jordan cards including ones that were featured in a blue border and other red bordered versions, but this one is his best! The most sought after one is regarded as his first true rookie card or better known as his XRC. The card was released during Jordan’s actually rookie season in 1984. Jordan’s star rookie card was undervalued for a number years but within the last five to ten years has seen a huge increase in value and demand. This card continually is becoming highly sought after especially high-grade examples. This card is prestigious and other Star Jordan’s PSA will no longer even grade ungraded examples due too many counterfeits surfacing. Jordan’s first star rookie card is a must have for any MJ collector.

#10 – 1997-98 E-X2001 Jambalaya Michael Jordan #6

This card is considered one of Jordan’s most unique and popular insert cards. His Jambalaya insert was one of the toughest cards to pull out of a pack during the mid-1990’s. A rare die-cut that will always have great long-term value and will be tougher to find each year since so many of these are in many people’s collections. Near mint versions ungraded have sold for as high as 10k+ recently!

#11 - 1986-87 Fleer Sticker Michael Jordan #8

Jordan’s Sticker card from 1986-87 easily can be considered a rookie card. This card was the first of its kind to come out and was featured in the same set of his famous 1986-87 Fleer Rookie. Jordan’s Sticker rookie has known to be condition sensitive and many examples were off-centered which makes high-grade examples very sought after. Jordan’s Sticker rookie has trended up in value within the last couple of months and will continue to do so because many collectors or buyers are finally realizing that this card is considered a rookie of Jordan as well.

#12 – 1996 SPX Michael Jordan Auto

This card is regarded as Jordan’s official first on-card certified autograph. The card has an awesome hologram design and Jordan’s bold signature is featured in the middle of the card. These were very difficult to obtain and being so that this was his first on-card autograph card means that this card will always have tremendous long-term value. A very difficult card to obtain as these were very limited and rarely pop up for sale nowadays.

Jordan’s second Fleer sticker card of him is from 1987. Since Jordan’s Fleer Sticker from 1986 has seen a huge increase in value his second year sticker has also seen a big increase as well. This card has a lot of room to grow because his first year sticker card has become so expensive for collectors or buyers especially in high-grade examples. Investing in his second year sticker is a smart decision because this card of Jordan is still very obtainable for many collectors and one of his earliest cards produced of him.

#15 – 1985 Nike Michael Jordan Promo Card

Jordan was featured in 1985 on a rare Nike oversized horizontal card. This card of Jordan was featured from a full set along with other Nike star athletes at the time. There has only been 148 of these that have received a PSA 10, which means this card is very undervalued in a high-grade example. Many collectors or buyers who buy Jordan have not caught on to yet to this rare card of him as this will continue to increase in value since it’s very difficult to obtain in a high-grade example. Buying the sealed set is another great strategy as you easily could get a Jordan from the set in mint condition.

What Has Caused Vintage Sports Cards to Explode in Value?

Vintage sports cards are continually increasing in value daily in all types of condition. In my opinion, this is due to a number a factors. The first being that the sports card market is continually becoming higher each day. Many sports cards dealers, buyers or collectors would agree that right now the market is one of the highest it has ever been. Secondly, many new buyers or collectors are starting to gain an awareness about these great vintage cards. This new awareness is being caused from recent sales of vintage sports cards gaining exposure from social media, the ability to be able to win a classic vintage card from participating in a card break and lastly vintage sports cards have a great nostalgic factor, and people want to invest into a part of history.

The vintage sports card market started to explode in value during the Spring of 2016, people had not seen prices sell that high on certain vintage cards in years. One buyer was even able to flip a PSA 9 1963 Topps Pete Rose rookie within a three-month span. The Rose card graded a PSA 9 was bought just three months prior to the sudden vintage explosion and would sell for nearly 5 times the amount a couple of months later. The Rose sale been noted as one of the quickest increases in value that took place in vintage sports card hobby history.

Social media has played a huge role on the impact of vintage sports card continually increasing in value within the last couple of years. Many social media outlets like Facebook Sports Card Groups, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube have spread awareness about a number of vintage sports cards selling for record prices. One other key factor that played a huge role in vintage sports cards exploding in value was the “Ty Cobb Lucky 7 Find". A family in the spring of 2016 found seven rare vintage Ty Cobb tobacco cards in a paper bag while they were looking through an old relative’s home. The cards were of special importance because they boasted the ultra-rare Ty Cobb back as opposed to the more common Piedmont or Sweet Caporal back. All seven cards were eventually authenticated by PSA and sold for over a million dollars. This type of story created a huge buzz for the entire sports card market to only continually go up and has not stopped since. New collectors or buyers could easily find out more about the value of vintage sports cards about a recent sale through a certain social media exposure. Vintage cards began to explode in value that same year, a lot of this business relates to a domino effect. An example would be when something sells for a lot of money in relation to sports cards it causes a lot of attention and then collectors or buyers want to find the next closest thing that compares in value and then begin investing in something similar.

The immediacy of sports cards of being able to be bought on a number of outlets has also played a huge factor. A lot of new collectors or buyers are beginning to get involved in the hobby. One way that is drawing a lot of people to vintage sports cards is buy being able invest in cards through a vintage break. Breaks are done on multiple platforms including websites, through social media, live at cards shows, etc. How it works is you basically buy into the break with a certain amount of money and compete against other competitors who are also buying in. Sometimes it’s based on per pack basis, like a certain pack goes to a particular person in the break, team basis which is you will receive every card pulled from the box or pack that is opened based on what team you got. The point is when someone pulls a great vintage card from a break it is often well publicized through social media and eventually more new people just want to get involved because others see a great historic vintage card being pulled. I think a lot of new collectors or buyers like the gambling or thrill aspect when it relates to breaks or even investing. In 2018, at the National Convention, a 1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle was pulled directly out of a cello pack from Vintage Breaks. The card was in near perfect condition; it was won for $500 a spot and eventually graded at the National. The card received a PSA 9 and has been valued at $50,000!

Can vintage sports cards continually maintain this pace and continue to go up? In my opinion, it easily can because more and more new buyers and collectors are beginning to learn and invest in sports cards. People enjoy the nostalgic value and owning something that is related to them or being able to own a piece of sports history. However, on the flip side there is still an uncertainty if this historic pace can maintain. There is no secondary market to determine the actual of value of sports cards nowadays other than recent eBay completed items, which sellers are taking advantage of too often. The problem with that is we have no way of knowing if something was actually paid for or not or what was a real sale and what wasn’t. There is a lot of collectors or buyers trying to manipulate the market or better known as drive up certain card prices. The grading card scandals that took place during the summer of 2019 caused some concern in the sports card hobby but has not stopped people totally from wanting to invest. I think ultimately people will have to gain more of a self-awareness and take a more cautious approach based what has taken place in the past. Vintage sports cards in all grades or condition are still selling for record amounts even after all of these allegations took place and I solely believe it’s because the general sports card market is arguably the highest it has ever been and there is no signs of it slowing down any time soon.

Jackie Robinson is famous for breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball in 1947. Robinson is well recognized throughout baseball every year on April 15 when every player on every team wears his jersey number 42. The number 42 is retired throughout all of Major League Baseball in Robinson's honor. Other black athletes in other major sports often thank Jackie as well every year, this is a way of showing his or her respect for him. Robinsons’ sports cards are highly sought after especially high-grade examples, since he only played 10 years in the MLB from 1947-1956 there a only a few cards that are available of him and they a beginning to become tougher to find each year. Here is my "Top 10 list" of best Jackie Robinson sports cards.

1 - 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson Rookie #79

Jackie Robinson’s most popular card is his Leaf rookie card from 1948. The card has a great vintage look to it and captures a great close up image of Robinson. His rookie card will continually go up in value because he will always be remembered in baseball history for breaking the color barrier and becoming the first black player to play in the MLB. Since this is regarded as his first MLB rookie card it is easily one of his most sought after cards. This card is a great piece of history for any buyer or collector to invest in and will always have great long-term value. They are becoming tougher to find every year especially ones that are well centered and in high-grade condition.

2 - 1947 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson

There is some uncertainty of when other rarer Jackie Robinson Bond Bread cards actually released but however there is some clarity on when a 13 card set of Robinson was made exclusively consisting of just him. The set released in 1947 and consisted of 13 types of cards of Robinson. The most sought card of the set is the still portrait image of Robinson featured with his facsimile autograph on the card. The significance of these cards are they were released the same year that Jackie broke baseball’s color barrier and made his actual MLB debut on April 15, 1947. There is still an unknown certainty about these cards but they easily can be considered some of Robinson’s first cards that were ever produced. These cards will continually become tougher to find and they are very under-valued. I would project these to gain more popularity and increase in value, especially the facsimile autographed card of Robinson featured in this set.

3 - 1948 Swell Sport Thrills Jackie Robinson #3

This card is another rare early example of Jackie Robinson commemorating his historic MLB debut the previous year in 1947. His Swell Sport Thrills card shows a vintage black and white image of Robinson featured in a newspaper designed theme. The top of the card reads, “Highlight in the World of Sport,” and the bottom reads “Dramatic Debut.” This card is becoming tougher to find and is a must have for any Jackie Robinson collector. This card is still very obtainable for many buyers or collectors and is a great piece of history because it headlines Robinson’s historic achievement that he accomplished the previous year.

4 - 1949 Bowman Jackie Robinson #50

This card is regarded as Jackie Robinson’s first Bowman card. Some collectors considered it a rookie card because it is undetermined if his Leaf card was actually released in 1948 or 1949. His first Bowman card is highly sought after especially graded examples from PSA, SGC and BGS. Being so that this is Robinson’s first Bowman card is what makes this card so highly in demand. The card really stands out with the bright red and Robinson wearing the famous Brooklyn Dodgers hat in the image. This card is one of the best and most popular cards of Robinson to own and will continually become tougher to find and more sought after.

5 - 1950 Bowman Jackie Robinson #22

Robinson’s 1950 Bowman card is an image that features a painting of him. The card is regarded as his second Bowman issued card and considered very popular and sought after. This card does still have upside to continue to go up in value because it is considered one of Robinsons first Bowman issued cards. 6 - 1952 Topps Jackie Robinson #312

The significance of Robinson’s 1952 Topps card is this was his first Topps card that was produced of him and for that reason alone it is highly sought after. His 52 Topps card continues to increase in value, this card is more commonly known as a high number and short print. Regarded arguably as Robinsons best looking card of him that was ever created because it features a beautiful close up image of him with his vintage Brooklyn Dodgers hat. The 52 Topps design was one of the best designed cards ever made and this card is an iconic card of Robinson and a must have to own.

7 - 1953 Topps Jackie Robinson #1

Robinson’s 1953 Topps card is similar to his 52 Topps portrait and style border. His card in 53 is still very popular and one of the best cards from the original set. The card is number 1 of the set which is the only time Robinson was issued card number 1 in a major set during the era he played. This card is still very obtainable in many graded examples for collectors or buyers and will continue to have great long-term value because its only Robinsons 2^nd ever issued Topps card.

8 -1954 Topps Jackie Robinson #10

His 1954 Topps card really stands out with a bright yellow and dual portrait of a still photo of Robinson and action shot shown on the card. This card is very tough to find centered which make high-grade examples very sought after. The image on this card is regarded as one of the most recognizable Robinson cards ever created.

9 - 1955 Topps Jackie Robinson #50

His 1955 Topps card is similar to his 54 Topps card featured with a dual portrait and action shot shown on the card. This version however is a horizontally themed card of Robinson which was the first of its kind. This card is still very obtainable in low-grade examples and is a good investment considering that it is one of his last Topps cards that were issued.

10 - 1956 Topps Jackie Robinson #30

Robinsons’ last Topps card that was issued when he was a player was his 1956 card. The card is very similar to his 1955 Topps and also horizontal, which shows a still close portrait of him and action shot of him sliding into a base. Also similar to his 1956 card, this card is very obtainable still for many collectors or buyers. I would assume that this will climb in value very soon because there may still be an uncertainty that this was Robinsons last issued Topps card when he was a player, and for that reason alone it will always have great long-term value.The card also features two variations of the back including a gray back and the more sought after white back. Robinson will always be remembered for historical achievement of breaking baseball’s color barrier and his impact on the game will be passed on from one generation to the next. Investing in his sports cards is one of the best and safest investments because his legacy will only continue to grow.

The 2019-2020 NBA Basketball season has started off with plenty of excitement. LeBron James is paired up with Anthony Davis on the Lakers, who is arguably the most talented teammate he has ever played with. Luka Doncic in just his second year has taken off recording many triple-double performances. Trae Young also in his second year continues to draw comparisons as “the new Steph Curry” because of his great 3-point shooting ability. Giannis Antetokounmpo “The Greek Freak” and “The Beard” James Harden continue to be the league’s best scorers and many new breakout players have also emerged. In terms of basketball players relating to sports cards Prizm Silvers rookies and star players featured in other Prizm Silver years continue to dominant as the go to cards to collect for newer basketball players. Since Prizm Silvers have become so sought after on many star NBA basketball players even similar Silvers on other cards are beginning to sell and continue to increase in value daily. A few examples would be Donruss Optic Silver and Panini Select Silvers. I will provide you with a top 15 list of basketball cards that have seen the biggest increase in value during the 2019-20 basketball season.

#1: 2003-04 Topps Chrome LeBron James #111 Rookie

LeBron James rookie in a Topps Chrome was steady for about a year in terms of value. Beginning in the summer of 2019, the card suddenly exploded in value especially in a PSA 10 and BGS 9.5. Many people believe entrepreneur Gary V. caused this sudden explosion on LeBron’s Topps Chrome rookie card. There is multiple videos of him at the National Convention in late July of 2019 and into early August projecting the future value of LeBron’s Chrome rookie card in a PSA 10 and I think many people agreed with his assessment and bought LeBron's card right away. Since many collectors or buyers were beginning to buy the card in bulk or trying to get as many as they could, other sellers soon realized many of these were selling and this immediately drove the price up on all LeBron James Chrome Rookies. There is already people projecting LeBron to become the all-time leading points scorer so his Chrome Rookie card still easily has room to increase in value and the Lakers could make a run at a NBA Championship too for the next couple of years.

#2: 2018 Prizm Luka Doncic Prizm Silver Rookie #280

Luka’s most popular rookie card continues to be his Prizm Silver rookie. Doncic has dominated to start the year including a 40-point game with a triple-double and multiple other triple-double type performances. The result of his amazing play to start the season has seen his Prizm Silver rookie take off again in value. Many collectors or buyers would have never predicted this historic increase. His Prizm Silver will remain as his most collectible rookie card, can Doncic keep up this historic start? He is still only 20 years old!

#3 : 2018 Panini Optic Luka Doncic Holo Silver #177

One other Doncic card that has seen one of the biggest increases in value this season is his Panini Optic Silver rookie. Since his Panini Prizm Silver rookie has already seen a huge historic increase in value many buyers or collectors started buying his Optic Silver rookie heavily this season. His Optic Silver rookie has reached all-time highs in value and nobody could have predicted how popular they have suddenly become. This explosion in value of Luka’s Optic Silver rookie has led to the sudden new demand of other Optic Silver rookies in other players become highly sought after.

#4: 2018-19 Donruss Optic LeBron James Silver Holo SP #94

One of the trendiest cards this basketball season is LeBron’s Optic Silver from 2018-19. The reason this card has become so sought after is because it’s one of LeBron’s first Silvers of him featured in a Lakers uniform. The card is considered a short print and insert card, since many other Prizm Silvers of LeBron have become really sought after of him since dating back to 2012 many buyers or collectors are beginning to invest in his Optic Silvers similar to this one. Optic Silvers first originally released in 2016 and being so that this particular one is one of his first Silvers of him in a Lakers uniform makes this card very sought after. This card will always have great long-term value and will be considered one of LeBron’s most collectible cards in a Lakers uniform.

#5: 2018-19 Prizm Trae Young Silver Prizm Rookie #78

One of the new and exciting players in the NBA in just his second year is Trae Young. Young is a very similar player to Steph Curry in a sense that he shoots the ball from three very well. He has already had some monster games to start the season, and as a result his card increased a lot in value. Young’s Prizm Silver rookie has gone way up since the start of the season dating back to early October and this card is easily his most sought after. Young will be regarded as one of the bright young stars in the NBA so this is a great long term invest with still a lot of upside because of his great shooting capability.

#6: 2012 Prizm James Harden Silver #95

One of the biggest trends in buying or collecting in the basketball sports card hobby this season is buying star players featured in different years that have a Prizm Silver card. Prizm Silvers were first created in 2012 and each year more have been produced since when they first released. The ones from 2012 are becoming increasingly difficult to find especially this one of Harden which has a very low PSA POP report. I have seen many basketball collectors trying to buy a Prizm Silver card from every year of a certain player so an example would be 2012-18 you would want to try to obtain all eight cards featured of a certain player, especially in high grades examples. Future Hall of Famers in Silvers will be considered short prints and hold great long-term value over time. Earlier Prizm Silvers are great investments as these trends on buying star players featured in all years will certainly continue in the basketball hobby.

#7: 2012 Prizm Kawhi Leonard Rookie PSA 10 #209

Base rookie cards in high-graded examples on star NBA players continue to soar in value this season. Leonard since winning the NBA championship with the Raptors in June of 2019 has been one of the most expensive base Prizm rookie cards that collectors or buyers have buying at the start of the 2019-2020 season. Other star players similar to Leonard featured in a base Prizm rookie graded a PSA 10 or BGS 9.5 are continually increasing in value. Will Prizm base rookies graded in high examples continually go up in value this season? Which player would you buy in a base Prizm Rookie in a high-grade example?

#8: 2016-17 Panini Donruss Optic LeBron James Silver Holo SP #15

One other Optic Silver card that has seen a huge increase in value this NBA season is LeBron James’s Optic Silver. This card is regarded as LeBron’s first Optic Silver card and for that reason alone has sparked this huge new interest in this card from collectors and buyers. The card features Kobe Bryant pictured off to the side too. This card will continue to gain more hype and exposure because it is the first of its kind featured with LeBron on it!

#9: 2015-16 Prizm Devin Booker Silver Rookie #308

Booker has become one of the biggest breakout players this NBA season. His cards were already considerably sought after but they have increased a lot more in value this season. Booker is one of the best young scorers in the league and continues to get better, as a result his Prizm Silver rookie continues to become highly sought after. He is on the fast track to becoming one of the best players in the NBA.

#10: 2018 Panini Select Luka Doncic Silver Rookie #25

One other comparison and new trend is that even Luka’s Panini Select Silver has seen a huge increase in value. Silvers remain king in the basketball hobby, everyone wants to own some sort of Silver rookie whether it is Panini Silver, Optic Silver or Panini Select Silver. All of Luka’s Silver rookies have seen an all-time high in value…will all of these continually go up in value? They are all considered true rookie cards, more players featured in a Panini Select Silver rookie especially high grade examples will soon follow and increase in value like Lukas. I think there is still an unawareness of collectors or buyers who are not aware of the sudden increase in Silvers on the Optic Silvers and Panini Select Silvers.

#11: 2016-17 Panini Donruss Pascal Siakam Optic Silver Holo #171

Siakam since last season has gone from as being one of the most unknown players in the league, to now regarded as one of the best players in the league. His Optic Silver rookie has seen one of the biggest increases in value since the beginning of the NBA season. Collectors or buyers quickly invested heavily in his Optic Silver as his second best option. This year was also the first year Optic Silvers were created and being so that this one is a rookie card adds a lot more overall value. Siakam has all the talent to maintain his current value!

#12: 2014-15 Prizm Andrew Wiggins Prizm Silver #251

One other breakout player that is finally living up the hype is Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins is having his best season so far in his career, he is averaging nearly 25 points per game and already had some great games to start the year. Since Wiggins has played so well many collectors or buyers are finally buying into the hype of him again as his cards have reached all-time highs. Can Wiggins Prizm Silver continue to increase in value?

#13: 2018-19 Prizm Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Silver Rookie #184

Gilgeous-Alexander in just his second season was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder this off-season. He has quickly shown his great shooting and scoring ability. As a result, his Prizm Silver rookie has nearly tripled in value since the start of the season. He is already being regarded as one of the best young shooting guards in the league. Gilgeous-Alexander’s Prizm Silver rookie still has a lot of upside to continue to increase in value.

#14: 2016-17 Prizm Malcolm Brogdon Prizm Silver #17

Brogdon signed as a free agent with the Indiana Pacers this off-season. Brogdon has quickly impressed and is averaging nearly 20 points a game. His Prizm Silver rookie was a great buy low at the start of the season. This card has quickly increased in value but still has a lot of upside to continue to go up more in value. I think he is still one of the more underrated players in the NBA and can still easily increase more in value.

#15: 2018-19 Prizm Devonte’ Graham Prizm Silver #288

One of the biggest surprises this basketball season has been the play of Deveonte’ Graham. Graham has taken over as the starting point guard role on the Charlotte Hornets and is averaging nearly 20 points a game to start the season. His Prizm Silver rookie is still very attainable for many buyers or collectors in both ungraded and graded examples. Will Graham continue to play at a high level?

2019-20 Prizm Basketball is set to release around early December, those boxes will be extremely sought after especially with the hype of Zion Williamson’s rookies featured in the box and other new rookies like Ja Morant, RJ Barrett and more! Zion’s Prizm Silver rookie will no doubt be insanely sought after! Blaster boxes, Mega Boxes or Retail boxes will be available at Target or Walmart but those will often sell out really fast! You will want to check often for when they restock and easily could pull a Zion Prizm Silver rookie out of one of those boxes that you could buy for in the $20-35 range out of one of the boxes. Last year blaster boxes were $20, Mega $35 and Retail $75 range. Hobby boxes will easily be $350+, Zion’s Prizm Rookie Silver ungraded is projected to be $700+ when it first hits the market. This year at the first initial release on these boxes will be a lot higher on the secondary market. The demand for them at the initial release will easily live up to the hype…look for them in early December!

Derek Jeter's Top 15 Baseball Cards of All-Time

Derek Jeter cards have continually increased in value every year since he retired in 2014. In January of 2020, he is next up to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. His announcement is fast approaching and many of his most sought after rookie and autograph cards are increasing in value fast. As a Jeter collector, I have researched heavily the last couple of years as to which Jeter cards are his best and most popular. Here is my list Top 15 of Derek Jeter cards you should be buying.

1.1992 Little Sun Derek Jeter Autograph #NNO /250

Every collector or buyer always wants to find out which card was a player’s first card of them. Jeter was considered a top prospect in high school and eventually drafted #6 overall during the 92 Draft by the Yankees. Bowman Draft autographs were not around during 92, but a rare on card autograph card of Jeter would still be created. Little Sun was a card company known for creating cards of top high school prospects. During 1992, Little Sun featured a base version Little Sun Jeter card, along with a Little Sun Autograph with a limited print run of just 250. Jeter would sign the card towards the top left with a Black sharpie. This card is known as Jeter’s first certified autographed card. The Autographed version continues to increase in value, although Jeter’s first on-card signature is a little streaky everybody still wants one. The autographed Little Sun card has been considered as “The Holy Grail of Jeter cards.” There is still an un-known about this card and Jeter’s proof card to many buyers and collectors of just how rare and valuable both these cards are.

2.1992 Little Sun Derek Jeter #NNO Proof card

Jeter’s Little Sun proof card is known as “Proof Examples” which were non-autographed versions or considered extra copies that were left un-signed by Jeter at the time of the initial release. Many of the proof cards that surfaced were eventually forged causing the remaining un-signed proof versions to be extremely sought after as well. According to a lot of research after learning about the history of this card, there is an estimation that less than 100 un-signed proof card examples of the Little Sun Jeter card remain in circulation. There is a few that pop up for sale a couple of times a year but these are becoming increasingly tougher to find. This is a great card to obtain while you still can and goes along great with the Jeter Little Sun autograph card.

3.1993 Upper Deck SP Foil Derek Jeter #279

This card is arguably considered Jeter’s most popular rookie card. Jeter’s SP rookie is regarded as his go to PSA Registry rookie card; in fact, his SP rookie card is his most recognizable card to many collectors and turned heads when a PSA 10 gem mint went for a whopping $99,100 in an auction. Jeter’s Upper Deck SP rookie is easily one of the best baseball cards produced by Upper Deck. It has a rare combination of rare shiny foil and outstanding photo displaying a young Jeter. Jeter’s SP rookie continually trends up in value dating back to the last couple of years especially in high-grade examples. Since this card is so popular, I would expect it to be one of the biggest risers in value from now until Jeter’s Hall of Fame induction announcement. Many of his SP’s graded in PSA 7’s or 8’s are still very obtainable for many collectors or buyers. Another great long-term investment is investing in versions of this card that were signed by Jeter featured with a bold signature and slabbed and certified like PSA/DNA, BAS certified, PSA Authentic. If you do decide to buy an autographed one make sure to know that, the majority of the time only the cards autographed is graded unless it states otherwise. Signed slabbed rookie cards like Jeter’s SP are great investments.

4.1996 Leaf Signature Derek Jeter Autographs

In 1996, Leaf was the first company to feature players in major league uniforms with certified on card autographs. Prior to these releasing in 1996, certified autographed cards were mostly featured in minor league sets or just randomly inserted but this was the actual first full set of major league licensed certified on card autographed cards. Being so that 1996 was Jeter’s rookie season this card easily could be considered a rookie autograph of Jeter. There is five different autographed versions of Jeter featured from 1996 Leaf Signature. 1996 Leaf Signature Extended Autograph #89 /1000, 1996 Leaf Signature Bronze Autograph #118 /700, 1996 Leaf Signature Silver Autograph #118, 1996 Leaf Signature Gold Autograph #118 /200 and the 1996 Leaf Century Marks version #11 /100. In order to tell the differences look for the circle medal emblem on the front and when comparing the century marks to extended look for century marked on the front of the card. As a Jeter collector these cards still have tremendous upside but you want to buy one’s that have bold autographs because some have faded over the years.

5.1992 Front Row Derek Jeter Autograph #6 /500

Similar to his Little Sun autograph card, Jeter featured another short printed on-card autographed card during his high school days. Jeter is displayed in the card in his red Kalamazoo, Michigan maroon high school uniform. His autograph slightly blends in the card making it tough to see the card is actually signed for some, however this card is becoming a lot tougher to find. The print run was estimated that Jeter signed just 500 of these, and featured the old school white circle authentication stamp on the back. Jeter was also featured in a base version Front Row card and some of those were hand-signed by Jeter and later on authenticated. In order to avoid confusion you want to look for the one that was signed by Jeter in the middle of the card and authenticated on the back, the other versions are just base cards that were obtained and signed later on in Jeter’s career and not signed during the initial time of this cards release.

6.1996 Select Certified & Mirror Parallels Derek Jeter

These select certified cards of Jeter are extremely sought after. Select Certified created a number of different rare versions which includes a base version, artist proofs /500, certified blue /180, red /1800. Similar cards are called the 1996 Select Certified Mirror, which are a lot more higher in demand. There is four rare versions of the Mirror cards, Select Certified Few, Mirror Red /90, Mirror Blue /45, Gold /30. The mirror versions are comparable to refractors and very pricy. All of these parallels could easily be considered rookie cards since Jeter’s first full season in the majors was in 1996.

7.1993 Upper Deck Derek Jeter Gold Hologram #449

One of Jeter’s other popular rookie cards is his Upper Deck rookie. Many collectors during the 1990s may have owned the Upper Deck base Jeter rookie card that was easily obtainable, however there is a rare version of a similar card called the Gold Hologram. The way to tell the difference is from the back near the bottom left sticker. The sticker on the rare Gold Hologram version will be gold while the base version will be silver. On the front of the card there appears to be a small indentation going through the middle of the card as well on the gold hologram version. Considering the Gold Hologram version is a lot rarer it is not crazily expensive and still very obtainable for collectors or buyers.

8.1993 Classic Best Greensboro Hornets Derek Jeter #1

One of the rarest minor league Derek Jeter cards is his 1993 Classic Best Greensboro Hornets card. This card has an extremely low POP report, which features just 28 PSA 10’s and 24 PSA 9’s. A friend of mine who collects Jeter told me this card is rarer than the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card, and that this Jeter card is still very undervalued. The card has an old-school majestic look to it. Being so that this Jeter card is so rare, it is an absolute no-brainer for collectors or buyers to invest in this card of Jeter while you still can!

9.1994 Albany Yankees Team Derek Issue #2 yearbook card

In the summer of 1994, Derek Jeter played in Albany, New York for the then Double A Yankees. During his tenure on the team, fans were given out yearbooks, which featured players minor league cards in them. In the yearbook there was a page of cards all attached together. Jeter’s card you had to literally detach from another card, which is why this card is perforated along the sides. Many fans at the time did not realize that this card would be worth a whole lot in 1994, so many of the yearbooks were lost or not even kept track. Collectors who attended Albany Yankees games in 1994 could have the yearbook and not even realize they have Jeter card intact inside. This Jeter card is easily one of the toughest cards to find but some still remain out there. It’s one of those cards that has a very low POP report on both PSA 10’s and BGS 9.5’s. The card is a must have for anyone that grew up from Albany and loved Jeter.

10.1993 Stadium Club Derek Jeter Rookie #117

Often regarded, as one of Jeter’s most popular true rookie cards is his Stadium Club. The Stadium Club card was offered to collectors or buyers first featured in a set from 1992 but was released in 1993. The set featured the entire set of Stadium Club cards that year which included the Jeter rookie and you would receive a mini stadium. Many of these sets can still be bought factory sealed. Jeter’s Stadium Club featured in a PSA 10 is still very obtainable for many collectors or buyers. While the SP in high-grades is wicked pricy, the Stadium Club is a great alternative option for Jeter collectors or buyers to invest in.

11.1993 Topps Inaugural Derek Jeter Marlins/Rockies #98

During 1993 to help promote the new expansion teams the then Miami Marlins and Colorado Rockies Topps created a separate set featuring short printed inaugural cards. The Marlins version will have a gold circle emblem near the front bottom left corner while the Rockies version will have the gold circle emblem near the front bottom right corner. Ironically, Jeter would become owner for the Miami Marlins in 2017 causing the Marlins Topps inaugural card to go way up in value. Both cards are great long-term investments because both of these are short-printed to just a 10,000 print run.

12.1992 Classic Four Sport Derek Jeter Autograph #231 /1125

One other early Jeter autograph card that is becoming tougher to find is his 1992 Classic Four Sport autograph card. This autographed card was randomly inserted into four sport packs during 1992 with other star athletes at the time like Shaquille O’Neil. Jeter is again featured in his high school uniform on this card. Jeter’s autograph was signed on-card, many of these autographs on this card are very streaky or faded so it is very difficult to find one that has a crispy signature. Since this card is card is one of Jeter’s early signatures and was most likely signed when he was still in high school it will always have great long-term value. Look for this card signed with the serial number attached with the signature; other signed examples are not the ones that were first originally signed in 92 by Jeter.

13.2009 Buy Back Autograph Rookies 93 Upper Deck & 93 SP /93

In 2009, two all-time great rookie buyback autograph cards of Jeter were re-created. They were both signed and each one serial numbered specifically by Jeter out of 93. Both Jeter’s Upper Deck SP rookie and his Upper Deck rookie were re-created, signed, and serial number individually. Being so that both of these featured a print run of just 93 make them difficult to find. Usually once in a while they pop up for sale but they are becoming tougher to find. Both of these cards were great cards that were re-created and signed by Jeter on-card.

14.1994 Signature Autograph Derek Jeter

There is a couple of Jeter autograph cards worth getting from 1994. One of them is called Signature Hottest Prospects #S4, which at the time many of them were considered mail in promos that were limited to just 1,000 copies; others 3,000 but not all of them were all redeemed making it unknown of how many are actually out there. There is also a more common one, 1994 Signature Rookies #35, which has a print run of 8,650 but this card is regarded as one of Jeter’s most popular minor league autographed cards.

15. 1993 Topps Derek Jeter #98

Derek Jeter’s Topps rookie is featured from 1993 and has recently trended way up in value. Since the SP rookie is becoming unattainable for many collectors, many Topps collectors are buying Jeter’s Topps rookie. As previously noted this card is offered in shorter print run inaugural versions and even has a micro version as well. Topps Gold versions were also made of this card, investing in Jeter Topps stuff is a smart investment because they will continually go up in value.

Sports card collectors are often trying to add something unique and rare to their collections. Card companies since dating back to when Tobacco cards were printed have made notable errors on cards. Some would argue that these mistakes are sometimes intentional while others would say that these mistakes lead to a future “rarer error card” because a correction card had to be made. Most error cards in the hobby were eventually corrected and replaced, while some were left unchanged. Error cards have a certain nostalgia that sports card collector’s love; many of these types of cards are talked about daily throughout the hobby. There is still a chase element on many error cards because they are so rare and valuable. I am going to focus on the Top 15 error cards that were replaced and corrected by card companies.

1.1990 Topps Frank Thomas No Name On Front (NNOF) Rookie

The famous NNOF Frank Thomas 1990 Topps rookie card has been rumored to be made due to an early print run error that was quickly corrected by Topps. Only roughly 250-500 is the estimated print run of how many of these are in existence. This card is in fact so rare that one collector even ripped two cases of 1990 Topps (which is 1,440 packs total) and did not pull a No Name Thomas. Thomas’s regular Topps rookie is easily obtainable compared to his no name error card, although the Tiffany version is a lot more sought after than the regular Topps version. Is there any more of the No Name versions out there still buried in 1990 Topps backs? This card will always have great value and continually have that chase element for collectors hoping to find one eventually nearly 30 years later.

2.1909-1911 T206 Piedmont Sherry "Magie" (Misspelling)

Sherry Magie’s T206 tobacco card is (supposed to read Magee) which is the proper spelling of his last name. This card is often regarded as one of the most popular error cards in the hobby. A corrected version was quickly printed but also printed with the proper spelling Magee but at much higher circulation compared to the error card. Many baseball experts consider Magee one of the greatest Phillies players during the Deadball Era. Magee had a lifetime batting average of 291 and 2,169 career hits. Does Magee get elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame someday through the Veteran’s Committee? There still seems to be a relatively un-known commodity about his rare t206 error card.

3.1989 Fleer Bill Ripken F*ck Face

The card was printed 30 years ago by Fleer and caused a huge buzz when it was first released. Ripken’s famous F*ck face card is still iconic today and often described as one of the most popular error cards of all-time. When the card was first released in 1989, it was quickly corrected but many collectors then wanted to get their hands on one. Ripken proclaims to this day that it was not his bat, and just a bat he picked up during batting practice when the picture of the card was taken. There is many corrected versions of this card including a whiteout version, white scribble, black scribble, black box, rounded black box and possibly even others. Many versions of Ripken’s card today are still very sought after especially in high-grade, as this is a must have for anyone who collects error cards.

4.1969 Topps Mickey Mantle (Mantle in White Letters)

This card is known as the Mick’s last card when he was a player and is card number 500. There is a normal version of this card featured of him where his name is featured in yellow letters but the rarer error version or variation has his name featured in white letters. Was this version featured in white letters by accident or a mistake? Nonetheless, the version offered in white lettering is a lot more sought after. Mantle’s error card featured in white lettering will continually go up in value some collectors or buyers may not even be aware of the differences still today.

5.1952 Topps Johnny Sain-Paige Bio

Sain would be known as the last pitcher that Babe Ruth faced during his career in 1935 and be the first pitcher that Jackie Robinson would face in 1947. Sain’s 1952 Topps card is in connection with Joe Paige’s 1952 Topps card. Collectors nowadays often use the term Sain/Paige to describe either error card. Both of the player’s backs were initially mixed up and placed on the wrong card. On the back of Sain’s card reads Paige’s background information instead of Sain’s. Sain also features a rare Black Back which is even more sought after than the error card. Sain’s error card is a lot more sought after than Paige due to his historical accomplishments in his career.

6.1952 Topps Joe Paige-Sain Bio

One of the most iconic sets of all-time initially featured an error card. The card was a 1952 Topps Joe Paige #48, which featured the wrong information about Paige and described a player named Johnny Sain instead. The 1952 Topps cards are becoming a lot tougher to find as it is and being so that this is a known error card that was eventually corrected makes this particular card even more sought after. There is even a version of this card featured where the bio is bold in black or better known as the “Black back reverse combination” which is also very un-common. The corrected version is a lot more common to obtain for collectors. Paige’s initial error card will continually become tougher to find.

7. 2006 Topps Alex Gordon Rookie

In 2006, Alex Gordon was regarded as one of the top prospects in all of baseball. Topps released his rookie card, card #297 but Gordon was not currently in the majors yet in 06. His card should not have been released in this set yet, but instead it was most likely used because of a hunch from someone thinking he would make the Royals opening day 2006 roster. Gordon did not make his major league debut with the Royals until 2007. The initial mistake of Gordon’s full size card being released caused multiple different versions of this card to be made/replaced, which were a cut out card, blank gold, blank silver. His full version card is a considered a short-printed error card which is still very popular today.

8.1948 Leaf Gene Hermansk (misspelled)

The iconic 1948 Leaf set initially released Gene Hermanski’s card #102 as Hermansk and miss-spelled his last name. The card was quickly corrected and re-released. The error card today is still highly sought after especially in high-grade examples. Hermanski is best known for playing on the Dodgers teams with then teammate Jackie Robinson. His error card is considered one of the most popular from this era.

9.1987 Donruss Opening Day Barry Bonds (Dark Jersey-Johnny Ray pictured)

During 1987, Donruss released opening day baseball cards at the time only through sets and not packs at the start of the year. This card was supposed to be Barry Bonds second Donruss card, when the card was first released the picture of the card wasn’t actually Bonds but instead his teammate Johnny Ray. The error card was caught very early, and replaced with a corrective version making the initial error card difficult to find. This error card has continually become more sought after and becoming tougher to find for buyers or collectors. Does Bonds ever make the Hall of Fame?

10.1977 Star Wars C-3PO #207 (Anthony Daniels)

The card is easily recognized as one of the most famous error cards of all-time. This is one of those error cards that is easy to spot, where you can clearly tell what’s pictured here. The card was quickly corrected and years later, the original error card this is still one of the most sought after Star Wars cards of all-time. Stars Wars is continually growing in popularity each year and with that being said this card will continually climb in value.

11.1954 Bowman Emlen Tunnell (misspelled with Tunnel)

During the initial release the card read with just one L instead of Tunnell. Tunnell was the first African American player to play for the New York Giants and also the first African American inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His card was quickly corrected but the error version seems to be more sought after. The same error was actually made in 1955 Bowman as well. Many of Tunnell’s error cards are still pretty obtainable in all grades as there still could be some confusion on the spelling of his name today for some collectors or buyers.

12.Sam Vincent 1990-91 Hoops #223 (Jordan wearing jersey number 12)

This card is also nearly 30 years old and something that is very unique. The card features Vincent driving to the hoop to make a layup with a Bulls player also pictured to his right wearing number 12. That player is actually Michael Jordan pictured wearing number 12. The story behind this card is Jordan’s jersey was stolen before this game on February 14, 1990 and he had to wear the 12 jersey. A new card for Vincent was issued featuring just him pictured in the card, making both the original card and new card of Vincent a shorter print compared to all the other Hoops cards issued that year which were readily available. Nonetheless the original card with Jordan featured wearing number 12 is quite unique and different. Could this card continue to become more popular?

13.1989 Upper Deck Dale Murphy (reverse negative)

Dale Murphy was a hot commodity during the late 1980s. Upper Deck released the famous 89 set, initially when Murphy’s card was released a reverse negative image was used; card number 357. A corrective version eventually came out with Murphy appearing holding his bat as a right-handed hitter. Murphy’s error card is still sought after today and was one of the big chase cards during the late 1980s era. This card will always be regarded as one of the more sought after error cards in the late 1980s era.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the 1957 Topps Hank Aaron is also a reverse negative? The right-handed sluggers is shown batting as a "lefty" due to the reverse negative. The card was never corrected.

14.1981 Fleer Graig Nettles (Craig on the back)

Graig Nettles was a very popular player with the Yankees who helped lead them to back to back championships in 1977 and 1978. His 1981 Fleer card initially released as reading Craig on the back of the card. The card was quickly corrected with the proper pronunciation of Graig. This error card created a unique chase card for collectors.

15.1988 Topps Al Leiter Rookie

During the late 1980’s prospects were not as coveted throughout the media as they are today. One prospect who was very popular during that time was starting pitcher Al Leiter for the New York Yankees. Leiter’s Topps rookie was featured in 1988 Topps and was card number 18, but the problem was the player pictured was not Leiter. Instead, Steve George was pictured in the card who actually never made it to the majors. The card was quickly corrected with the right image (image on left is the error). Leiter had a long major league career so you should be able to tell which version is the corrected version.
