This 1909-11 T206 Jimmy Burke with a Piedmont back has earned a PSA 5 EX grade. T206 is the most famous tobacco card set ever produced, and solid mid-grade examples with clean eye appeal are a classic entry point for pre-war collectors and T206 set builders. The Piedmont back is the most common advertising back in the set, making it a natural choice for collectors building by player rather than by back.
Jimmy Burke was a professional infielder of the dead-ball era who later moved into managing and coaching. He appears in the T206 set, which documented hundreds of major and minor league players of the period and remains the cornerstone of pre-war baseball card collecting.
