This 1909-11 T206 Jimmy Phelan has earned an SGC 4 VG-EX grade. T206 is the most famous tobacco card set ever produced, and solid mid-grade examples with clean eye appeal are a classic entry point for pre-war collectors and T206 set builders who build by player.
Jimmy Phelan was a professional ballplayer of the dead-ball era who appears in the T206 set, which documented hundreds of major and minor league players of the period. The set has been studied by collectors for more than a century, and pre-war cards of players like Phelan remain essential for collectors completing this iconic issue.
