This 1909-11 T206 Red Kleinow New York, With Bat with its Piedmont back has been graded SGC 2 GD. Known among collectors as The Monster, the T206 tobacco set features more than 500 cards and remains the most celebrated pre-war baseball issue. This survivor from the dead-ball era is a solid addition for set builders and anyone collecting original early twentieth-century baseball cardboard. The SGC holder protects the card and makes it simple to display.
Red Kleinow was a catcher for the New York Highlanders, the forerunners of the Yankees, during the dead-ball era. Known as a reliable defensive backstop, he is pictured here in his New York uniform.
