This 1990 Fleer Shawn Kemp Rookie #178 has earned an SGC 10 Gem Mint grade. Kemp’s Fleer rookie was produced in large numbers, but gem mint copies are far scarcer, and this one captures the Reign Man before his rise to six All-Star selections with the SuperSonics.
Shawn Kemp entered the NBA without playing college basketball when the Seattle SuperSonics selected him 17th overall in the 1989 NBA Draft. Known as the Reign Man for his ferocious dunks, he earned six All-Star selections, helped Seattle reach the 1996 NBA Finals, and later played for the Cavaliers, Trail Blazers, and Magic. Over his career, he averaged 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
