This 1990 NBA Hoops Mark Jackson #205 has earned an SGC 8 NM-MT grade. It is one of the hobby’s most famous oddballs: the background of the photo shows the Menendez brothers sitting courtside, which made this Knicks card a lasting conversation piece for error and oddball collectors.
Mark Jackson starred at St. John’s before the New York Knicks selected him 18th overall in the 1987 NBA Draft. He won the 1988 Rookie of the Year award, earned a 1989 All-Star selection, and retired among the NBA’s all-time assist leaders after stints with the Pacers and several other teams, later becoming a head coach and broadcaster.
