This 2024 Donruss Diamond Marvels Paul Skenes Rookie #8 has earned an SGC 10 Gem Mint grade. This rookie-year insert from Skenes’s Rookie of the Year season in the top grade is a sharp pickup for Pirates collectors. Rookie cards from a player’s debut season remain the cornerstone of most player collections.
Paul Skenes won the 2023 College World Series with LSU before the Pittsburgh Pirates selected him 1st overall in the 2023 draft. He started the 2024 All-Star Game as a rookie and won the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year award, quickly becoming one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball.
