This 1909-11 T206 Patsy Dougherty has earned an SGC 4 VG-EX grade. T206 is the most famous tobacco card set ever produced, and solid mid-grade examples with clean eye appeal are a classic entry point for pre-war collectors and T206 set builders who build by player.
Patsy Dougherty was an outfielder of the dead-ball era who starred for the Boston Americans in the first modern World Series in 1903 and later played for the Chicago White Sox, who appears in the T206 set, which documented hundreds of major and minor league players of the period. The set has been studied by collectors for more than a century, and pre-war cards of players like Dougherty remain essential for collectors completing this iconic issue.
