This 1909-11 T206 Rube Dessau Portrait with its Piedmont back is graded SGC 4 VGEX and comes from the legendary American Tobacco Company series distributed in cigarette packs. T206 remains the most widely collected pre-war baseball set, prized for its colorful lithographed portraits, and this card is a strong fit for set builders and dead-ball era collectors working on their run. Sealed in an SGC holder, it is ready for display alongside the rest of a vintage collection.
Frank Rube Dessau was a pitcher of the dead-ball era whose brief major league stints came during the years the T206 set was issued. His card is a classic example of the lesser-known players who fill out this landmark tobacco set.
