This 1909-11 T206 Dode Criss has been graded SGC 1 PR and carries a Piedmont 150 back. Distributed in cigarette packs between 1909 and 1911, the T206 "White Border" set remains one of the cornerstones of vintage baseball collecting. At SGC 1 PR, it shows the honest wear expected of a card that circulated more than a century ago, while the original front image remains intact for set builders working toward completion.
Dode Criss played during the Deadball Era, when tobacco cards like T206 brought ballplayers into the homes of fans across the country. Cards of lesser-known subjects such as Criss are key pieces for anyone working toward a complete T206 set.
