This 1909-11 T206 George McBride with its Piedmont back carries an SGC 3 VG grade. Issued in cigarette packs by the American Tobacco Company, the T206 set is the most famous tobacco issue ever produced and a cornerstone of pre-war baseball collecting. Original cardboard that has survived more than a century offers genuine dead-ball era history for T206 set builders and vintage collectors. Every graded example is encapsulated for long-term protection and display.
George McBride was the longtime shortstop of the Washington Senators, celebrated for his defense during the dead-ball era. He spent well over a decade as Washington's everyday shortstop and later managed the club briefly in 1921.
