This 1909-11 T206 Bob Groom has been graded SGC 3 VG and carries a Piedmont back. Distributed in cigarette packs between 1909 and 1911, the T206 "White Border" set remains one of the cornerstones of vintage baseball collecting. The SGC 3 VG grade reflects moderate corner and surface wear, while the card retains solid eye appeal for a tobacco issue more than a century old. The front features lithographed artwork framed by the set's signature white border.
Bob Groom was a pitcher who broke into the majors with the Washington Senators and later pitched for St. Louis and Cleveland. He was a workhorse in an era when starting pitchers routinely finished what they started.
