This 1909-11 T206 Wild Bill Donovan Portrait with its Piedmont back carries an SGC 3 VG grade. Issued in cigarette packs by the American Tobacco Company, the T206 set is the most famous tobacco issue ever produced and a cornerstone of pre-war baseball collecting. Original cardboard that has survived more than a century offers genuine dead-ball era history for T206 set builders and vintage collectors. Every graded example is encapsulated for long-term protection and display.
Wild Bill Donovan was the ace of the Detroit Tigers staff that won three straight American League pennants from 1907 to 1909. After his playing days he managed the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies.
