This 1958 Topps Hoyt Wilhelm #324 has earned a PSA 8 NM-MT grade. Wilhelm's 1958 Topps card comes from the season he threw his only no-hitter, and its bright solid-color background shows wear easily, making this NM-MT copy a high-grade vintage piece for Hall of Fame collectors.
Hoyt Wilhelm was a pioneering knuckleball reliever who debuted with the New York Giants in 1952 and pitched into his late 40s. He also played for the Cardinals, Indians, Orioles, White Sox, Angels, Braves, Cubs, and Dodgers, throwing a no-hitter for Baltimore in 1958. Wilhelm is a National Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF) inductee (1985). Over his career, he went 143-122 with a 2.52 ERA, 228 saves and 1,070 games pitched.
