This 1969 Topps Brian Piccolo Rookie #26 has earned an SGC 3 VG grade. Piccolo’s only Topps card was issued during his Chicago Bears career, and his story, told in the film Brian’s Song, makes this rookie a meaningful vintage piece for Bears collectors.
Brian Piccolo led the nation in rushing at Wake Forest before signing with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 1965. His close friendship with teammate Gale Sayers inspired the celebrated film Brian’s Song, making him one of the most remembered players in Bears history.
