This 1986 Star Michael Jordan #5 carries a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint grade. Star Company issues predate Jordan's 1986 Fleer card, and these early rookie-era Star cards were distributed in limited quantities, often in sealed team bags. Gem Mint examples with sharp corners and clean edges are a cornerstone for serious Jordan collectors.
Michael Jordan helped North Carolina win the 1982 NCAA title before the Chicago Bulls drafted him 3rd overall in 1984. With the Bulls he won six NBA championships, six Finals MVPs, five MVP awards, and ten scoring titles, earning 14 All-Star selections before finishing with the Washington Wizards. Jordan is a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (HOF) inductee (2009).
