This 1986 Star Michael Jordan #5 has earned a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint grade. Star Company issued Jordan’s earliest NBA cards in limited team-bag sets before the 1986 Fleer release, and gem mint examples are exceptionally difficult to find given the era’s inconsistent cutting and centering.
Michael Jordan helped North Carolina win the 1982 NCAA title before the Chicago Bulls drafted him 3rd overall in 1984. He spent most of his career with the Bulls, winning six NBA championships, five MVP awards, ten scoring titles, and 14 All-Star selections, before finishing with the Washington Wizards. Jordan is a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (HOF) inductee (2009).
