This 1991 Nike Michael Jordan and Spike Lee #5 promotional card has earned a BGS 8 NM-MT grade. These Nike promos paired Jordan with Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon character, a classic oddball for collectors of Jordan’s sneaker-culture legacy.
Michael Jordan won six NBA championships and five MVP awards with the Chicago Bulls and is a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (HOF) inductee (2009). His Nike partnership with filmmaker Spike Lee, who played Mars Blackmon in the famous Air Jordan commercials, helped turn the Jordan brand into a cultural phenomenon, and these promotional cards capture that era.
