This 1909-11 T206 Rube Dessau with its Piedmont back has been graded SGC 2 GD. Known among collectors as The Monster, the T206 tobacco set features more than 500 cards and remains the most celebrated pre-war baseball issue. This survivor from the dead-ball era is a solid addition for set builders and anyone collecting original early twentieth-century baseball cardboard. The SGC holder protects the card and makes it simple to display.
Frank Rube Dessau was a pitcher of the dead-ball era whose brief major league stints came during the years the T206 set was issued. His card is a classic example of the lesser-known players who fill out this landmark tobacco set.
